Taken 2/16/11 in the house I grew up in. This fan has been around since the 80s, and is still going strong thanks to some maintenance a couple of years ago. Taken with hipstamatic.
Project 366-1
Day 43/365
My first attempt at a Through the Viewfinder shot, Taken with my Canon SD600 through the viewfinder of an old Welta Superflex made in Russian Occupied Germany. I'm looking forward to trying this with more light outdoors.

pull (pŏŏl) v tr. To apply force to so as to cause or tend to cause motion toward the source of the force. To tug at; jerk or tweak.
Did a "new" test roll in my Canonet, after adjusting the rangefinder (see this blog, all about the process). I had just started a roll of film in it, so I took it out before I started the repairs, and put it back in afterward - good thing I left the tail out - hence this double-exposure of the ceiling fan in the living room, layered with a creepy David Lynch face. Good stuff.
same technique as the previous shot, no photoshopping. my face is a little sharper, which i like. i spun the ceiling fan very slowly in this shot to get even more of a blur.
the previous shot has some crazy blur action.
intrigued by the similarity to venteux from yesterday. apparently "ventilateur" literally means "machine that vents", so I should have seen it coming, but now I know. #rachellearnsfrench (woo #french)

I was messing around with the settings on my camera last night, to lock the mirror up and clean the sensor, and accidentally took this shot. I have the overhead, ceilingfan light on and the my 430EX doing shadow fill. It looks like early afternoon lighting to me, but check the time stamp and the windows. It's 9:30 at night. Now, if I only had metered everything and written down all the settings...
Experimented a little with some HDR. Not very happy about this one. However, you can see a lot of detail on the ceiling and the light shades.
I spent the day in 60° water, and wetsuit or not, that is damn cold for me! I could have done big/small as a before/after picture but this is a PG project...
So I took a picture of the ceiling fan in our room. There are small leaves around the light with large leaves as the blades...
The square crop made much more sense given the fact our A/C duct is just off to the side....
This pirate seems to be listing a bit to starboard. It's nothing to "lose face" over, for a pilot. I mean, pirate.

Dizzy, I'm so dizzy, my head is spinnin'
Like a whirlpool, it never ends
And it's you girl, makin it spin
You're makin' me dizzy
The first time that I saw you girl

And I told you just exactly how I fe-elt

Today I felt like I was running in quicksand almost the whole day. Tomorrow I have to do at least one thing I enjoy. It’s been too long.
