"Catching Fairies" by William Cory.

"They're sleeping beneath the roses;

Oh! kiss them before they rise,

And tickle their tiny noses,

And sprinkle the dew on their eyes.

Make haste, make haste;

The fairies are caught;

Make haste.

We'll put them in silver cages,

And send them full-drest to court,

And maids of honour and pages

Shall turn the poor things to sport."

Ghastly! Might as well pull their wings off like we sometimes did with fireflies, the closest thing to true fairies as we could get.

went this week to Cadogan Hall in London to see “Rumours of Fleetwood Mac" live and it was like a trip back in time, back to young and energetic band with signature tunes and legendary songs. Played live to modest audience of 950 these younger and rejuvenated version of old band left audience standing, dancing and asking for more of old magic. One great trip to old days I would recommend to “feel alike”.

Sun Reflection on one of my favorite blue buildings. The color changes from a deep sky blue to a teal, depends on the lighting and time of day.

The view from my back door after yet another heavy rainstorm. The sun popped out for a brief moment and caught the newly emerging leaves on the hazel tree.

I don't know if other people have the same problem, but there's always a few pictures that I don't mean to upload that keep on catching my eye as I try to file stuff away, and this was one of them - I take no responsibility for its attention seeking behaviour. Twin Sails bridge, Poole, Dorset, UK

Gratitude: Day 1/30

I can't think of a better way to kick off the 30 days of gratitude project than to say a huge heartfelt 'Thank You' to my friend Stephanie. She was one of my first contacts here on Flickr and I'm proud to call her my friend. She also wrote me my first testimonial a few days ago and her words brought a huge smile to my face - it was like catching some sunshine after a dreary day. If you don't know Stephanie then do yourself a favor and don't wait another second to visit her stream. She creates art and beauty with every shot she takes.

Posting every day, I find naming the images the hardest part. Having thousands of Snowy Owl's on file, one runs out of ideas...

Inspired by the third book in my favorite book series, Catching Moondrops by Jennifer Erin Valent. They house my favorite male fictional character ever, Luke Talley. If I could marry a fictional character, he'd be the one.

Last weekend when testing out the 300mm with the new teleconverter I was searching out birds in the trees ... hoping to catch them there in the setting sunlight. Did get the one shown below in the comments, but in addition, this light and shadow on the far off trees caught my eye as well. Thought it was a pretty sight and made the capture.
