Update Sept 13 2011, Added a few filler panels and rearranged every thing to prepare for future expansion. Also did better cable management and routed entire house's network through the rack to have a centralized switch instead of satellite switches.
This is what happens when you rush the cable patching job. ;-)
I'll need to cable tie and lay them a little more sensibly. I'm sure the data cablers would cry after the neat/professional job they did throughout the house and into the patch panel.

This is a friend's telecom cabinet with after having Uverse installed. All network cables are Cat6. Yellow ports run to televisions and DVR.(yes 6). Green ports run to computer locations. The white ethernet wire comes from the iNID outside. This install uses all cat6 cabling with no coax in use.
Step 5: Close it up
After the conductors have been properly connected, I plugged in my ethernet cable and tested with a multimeter to ensure that only intended connections would pass current and that the resistance would be low. I noticed that Pin 4 on the P-TTL cable was showing high resistance. I had to remove the blue wire from the socket for RJ45 pin 4, manually strip away the insulation, and reattach the wire. Once that was done, I was able to take a test photo using HSS with a camera several feet further from the flash than I would have been able to before.
The completed cable now rests in my light bag.
THIS IS A DANGEROUS PROJECT. IT CAN BREAK YOUR CAMERA, YOUR FLASH, OR BOTH. ATTEMPT IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

All that data needs to go somewhere, and it gets there through this massive 8' wide cable track.

My entire network is Gigabit! You can see that there are 3 devices reporting only 100M, 2 of those are BMCs and the 3rd is a turned off computer.
