The Daihatsu Cast is yet another kei sized car offered to the Japanese motorist and another which takes on a more retro appearance thanks to its BMC Mini style front end.
Its the type of vehicle which until my recent trip to Japan I had no real interest in, whether that be in real life or model form but when you see these cute machines for real you can only fall in love with them!
This particular casting was first released way back in 2016 and retired in 2020 so its no surprise that I didn't actually find any whilst in Japan but for some reason older stock were present in all the Hong Kong branches of Toys R Us I visited. Being an older basic mainline means that it still has an opening rear hatch as well as the expected working suspension.

A cast iron drinking fountain outside the South Gate to Gordon Gardens in Gravesend.
Like most of these Victorian facilities it is no longer in use.
This tall table lamp was fabricated from a cast-iron baluster left at our local swap shop, a bronze maritime lighting fixture, a custom-cut granite base and a clear piece of acrylic to tie everything together. The lamp is an led bulb.
