I have been on the borderline since last year and since then I always try to take care of what I eat and watch over my daily routine. I always carry this device with me just in case. This photo is one shot, handheld with two table lamps for lighting. Less than 3" including negative space. For Macro Mondays "EDC"

salt lake The lake lies at an elevation of 4,718 m, and has a surface area of 1,870 square kilometres. It is the highest salt lake in the world, and largest salt lake in the Tibet Autonomous Region. However, it is not the largest salt lake in the Tibetan Plateau. That title belongs to KokoNor མཚོ་སྔོན་ མཚོ་ཁྲི ་ཤོར་རྒྱལ་མོ་ (almost twice the size of Namtso). Namtso has five uninhabited islands of reasonable size, in addition to one or two rocky outcrops. The islands have been used for spiritual retreat by pilgrims who walk over the lake's frozen surface at the end of winter, carrying their food with them. They spend the summer there, unable to return to shore again until the water freezes the following winter. Unlike most of its relatives in the thread-waisted wasp family (Sphecidae), which nest in excavated underground burrows, the grass-carrying wasp prefers to nest aboveground in a preexisting cavity. These gentle, solitary wasps are common in July and August, visiting a variety of flowering native plants. Females collect tree crickets and grass blades in our gardens and landscapes to provide food and a safe, comfortable nursery in the chosen cavity where their larvae will grow and develop.

My Fitbit goes with me everywhere. If I work out and forget to turn it on to track the workout, I don't feel like I've done a workout. I may be a bit obsessed with trackers and workout statistics I must admit.
This photo is for Macro Mondays theme Everyday Day Carries. It had me thinking I pretty much only carry a car "fob" , a phone & my trusty Fitbit (on about my 10th now) these days. No need for a wallet when your phone has your cards, license, travel card and everything else you need. Most of the time I just swipe my Fitbit for small purchases. Haven't used cash for years. I'm not sure if that is a good or a bad thing, but its convenient, love travelling light and unencumbered.

This eagle certainly did dare and carries away it's prize.
A revisit to these guys is high on my list of things to do in 2018. It was certainly one of my best days out in 2017 despite the poor light conditions.
A true unquestionable master of the skies the magnificent white tailed eagle. Seen here making off with it's catch, the UK's largest most powerful and arguably most beautiful bird .
The eagles are a fabulous advert for conservation and a great blueprint for the reintroduction of other former native species.

A few ridges reach out from Fantasy Canyon, carrying the same eroded forms across the landscape. At dusk, earth's shadow (blue) reached up toward the Belt of Venus (pink) to lend an otherworldly atmosphere to the intricate sculptures.
The Belt of Venus is the atmospheric backscatter of red light before dawn or after sunset.
My flying soul 🎶
As the floating balloons inside me drift, I'm captivated by the magic of this moment. They are floating right in front of my eyes, as if each one carries the color of a dream of mine. The cigarette clutched between my lips slowly sends out the smoke of my dreams; with every breath, I become a little more free. The cello standing behind me is like a silent reflection of the music within me, its notes echoing in my soul. Everything comes together in this one moment; my soaring spirit, lost time, and the melody of eternity... This moment is my freedom. Defying the crowds of Istanbul, I have created a world within myself, and here, there is only me, my dreams, and my music.
