In these days of CAD design it is difficult to visualise the design process of older road and racing cars, when prototypes were assembled by small teams of highly skilled craftsmen (or women), with access only to traditional tools. In the early stages models were fashioned either from clay or wood, this is how some of the best looking cars of all time started life.
This example is believed to be the genesis of an early Brabham F1 car.

My AMG GT Shooting Brake design makes not a very practical hearse due to the rear-mounted transaxle.
These series were introduced in 1961, starting with the renewed TR4. The TR4/TR4a were designed by Giovanni Michelotti, who also had designed the Herald.
'IRS' stands for 'Independent Rear Suspension', as a distinction with the previous TR4 Hotchkiss system.

in April 1990, Steve Harper created these concept theme sketches for Disney Imagineering, for the design of the car to be used in the Autopia Ride at Disney Paris, and Hong Kong.
The design showed that by adding fins and additional parts, how the basic design could be adapted to suit different Automotive Trends and categories

I was very much surprised discovering such an old and original Dutch licenced car in the streets of (suburb) Amsterdam!

"Autonomous Cars for Inner & Inter City"
In mostra i progetti degli studenti della VII edizione del Master in Transportation & Automobile Design
Per la settima edizione del Master TAD il tema progettuale, assegnato dai designer di Volkswagen Group, è stato "Automobili a Guida Autonoma per i Collegamenti Inner & Inter City" da sviluppare con riferimento ai marchi Audi e Volkswagen. Il tema, oltre che molto attuale, è particolarmente interessante perché consente una progettazione degli spazi interni del veicolo senza molte delle limitazioni connaturate al posto guida tradizionale e apre la fruizione del veicolo a categorie di utenti altrimenti escluse.
