Im really glad that I captured this because at the strip of las vegas we barely see birds flying thru and the sun was setting just perfect timing.

Playing with the Mini CraZy Birds again today and this the result. The little garden elf is from a set from Hero Arts November Kit. Really hadn't used it until I saw the possibilities in pairing it with the Mini Birds. I posting this with the WTC group www.flickr.com/groups/wtcs/

in this digital era, everybody is equipped with her/his camera, big and small. interesting thing like this, strong current in spring has drawn them to capture the moment ... have a nice undertaking ....ha.. ha..

My photographer friend, Wheaton Mahoney snapped a picture of me last week at an event at our kids school.

Lance Cpl. Christopher Willis, a Squad Automatic Weapon gunner with Golf Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, snaps pictures of merchants at Khalaj Bazaar, Garmsir District, Helmand province, Afghanistan, on “Bazaar Friday,” Feb. 25. On Fridays, Khalaj Bazaar draws an average of about 3,000 villagers who gather to buy and sell livestock, meat, poultry, textiles, and various wares. The bazaar draws traders from as far as Herat province, in Western Afghanistan. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Jesse Stence/Released)

I captured this image in my allotment shed of a Giant House Spider with a German Wasp that had fallen onto its web when I moved some bits about in preparation for the growing season.

It was still in its hibernated state so was easy for the spider to deal with.

Thanks for taking the time to view my images. Happy to receive feedback / comments.

Did some testing and compared Capture One 6.0.1 against Lightroom 3.2 to see how much there are differences what comes to developing Nikon D300 RAW files. I think LR is excellent software but it causes constant troubles as the sw often waters down the exposure & tones from Nikon NEF files.

Images are with default settings and only editing thing made was that last two photos are cropped. By default, Capture One gives much richer colors. Of course default colors from Lightroom can be easily tweaked by using Camera profiles (like Standard, Portrait or DX2 mode 3).

I also compared tethered shooting and Capture One felt little bit faster displaying photos. Not a big difference.

High ISO noise reduction looked better with Lightroom. But I usually add noise to the photos, not remove it :)
