This was captured by my wife using a Nikon D80. As she was bored shooting the horse shoe bend, she turned her camera towards me and captured me shooting the bend.

I found this shot interesting as it gives a perspective of the depth of the canyon.

Captured Arrival at Luton Runway 26

captured last week at one of the "winter attempts" in the little Bleichröder Park in front of my door

My buddy Levi and I set this shot up last night. We didn't really know what we were going out to take photos of, but after some failed attempts and shooting each other with our flashes (almost going into seizures) we came up with this baby. We name our new technique "Light Seizing". We set the shot up for 20 secs (built in flash along side external flash). After the shutter went off, the shooter would run up and shoot some flashes at the subject than continue to go around and aim the flash at the camera (creating the stars). So yea, I thought it turned out pretty cool. Feel free to try Light Seizing out and let us know how it goes :)

Captured Dreams

A project by Dopludό Collective; 2009. 20 pillows (45x45 cm each), 225x180 cm;

Why is it always so difficult to memorize the dreams that we have during the night?

They usually quickly escape out of our minds as if they were sneaking away and

hiding the traces. If we could believe that thoughts find materiality then also our dreams might have the material shape as well. Then where do they actually disappear? Might they be stored somewhere? They can visit our minds several times per night, and often they just slip by barely touching our consciousness for a short while. The work "Captured Dreams" is an allegoric attempt to visualize the idea of the existence of pillows that could capture dreams and display them. As though the latent image is revealed during the photographic procession after putting it in developing chemicals...

The number of stars that film can capture in 30 seconds is astounding, This looks like the stars are visible down to magnitude 8 or dimmer.

Found your heart and lost your lover;

Lick your wounds and run for cover.

Take your time there'll be another

And don't make the same mistake twice,

Unless you can pay the price.

All those years that you spent in growing

End up one more line you're towing

Don't look now but your age is showing

And its much too late to turn back

You better pull in the slack.

Captured Angel

Aching to make your break

Your freedom's at stake

You better fly now...

Fly now, fly now

While your wings are still young

Your cage door's been flung

Wide open...

And I'm hoping you see

That there's a place beside me,

If you ever need it.

Sold your dreams for sweet salvation

Left with righteous indignation

Now it seems that you face starvation

And nourishment doesn't come cheap

You better go back to sleep.

Captured Angel

Aching to make your break

Your freedom's at stake

You better fly now...

Fly now, fly now

While your wings are still young

Your cage door's been flung

Wide open...

And I'm hoping you see

That there's a place beside me,

If you ever need it.

Sabrina Scharf - MIRAMANEE

(Season 3, Episode 58: “The Paradise Syndrome”)

Pocahontas of deep space, Miramanee, the tribal priestess is simple-minded and speaks in broken English but she’s quite a woman and easy to get along with, in the hippie-kind-of way. Though, I do have a problem with hygiene issues in that primitive, reservation-like planet.

THE KIRK CONNECTION: Kirok loved her and mated with her and she carried her child but they both perished. With a Daniel Boone mentality, Kirk became attached with the simple frontier life.
