Well I am finally back from New York! It was one of the best trips I have taken in my entire life. I am working from home today and recovering from all the hiking that I have done. This image is a prime example that subtle HDR is capable to represent the scene in a very realistic manner. Not all HDR images created equally. There are a tons of poorly processed HDR images that give this type of photography a bad name.
This is the world famous Middle Falls at the Letchworth State Park during the most wonderful day of the fall. It was very warm (80F) nice and sunny and very colorful. The park was crowded with people and photographers all over. This park is also known as Grand Canyon East. One of the best parks! I would highly recommend putting this park on your list if you haven't been to it. I can't believe I never went to it and it's only 2.5 hour drive from my house :) Right now it's the best time to see it before all the colorful leaves will vanish like they did by my house already and pretty much over night :(
Once again this is my second HDR vertorama (Vertical Panorama) composed from 6 captures using Hoya ND8 (Neutral Density) dark filter to achieve long exposure and make the water silky smooth. f/22 2"
Also I would like to thank my dear friend Elizabeth from NY for all the assistance and updates regarding the fall foliage at the park. I really appreciate all your help my friend. I enjoyed the park and New York very much :D More images will follow in the near future!
This is as real as it gets... Let me know what you guys think. :)
Have a wonderful day everyone!

“To be more childlike, you don't have to give up being an adult. The fully integrated person is capable of being both an adult and a child simultaneously. Recapture the childlike feelings of wide-eyed excitement, spontaneous appreciation, cutting loose, and being full of awe and wonder at this magnificent universe.”

SPRING WALTZ - Frédéric Chopin
Always watchful; always kind
you are forever on my mind
in my heart and in my soul
you light my life and make me whole
so many times I fell down broken
you picked me up and soothed my wounds
imparted wisdom; kind words spoken
gave me love and sisterly bond
in this life we may be fragile
by this world we get worn down
on this earth our feet may ache
from all the miles that tarnish our crown
you are a Princess and so am I
but we try to keep us humble
we give out love and light to share
we try to never grumble
but we are human too and bleed
esteem gets cut to ribbons
yet in our hearts sown seeds of love
give us hope and keep us giving
whoever tries to bring us down
we smile at them and leave
one day we hope they'll turn around
and see the path they set and grieve
and we will open up our arms
to welcome them as friends
because we grow like precious flowers
our souls still flourish in stormy rains
never will we let floods drive us out
never will they drown us
we keep each other safe; afloat
and let our love surround us
all are welcome; all are loved
but some close eyes against it
yet one day the ethereal light above
will open their hearts; will let them find us
for now, my Sister, you and I
drift in and out on ebbs and flowing constant tides
that break but always return safely to the shore
a loving heart leaves a window open
or better still, an open door.

The cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus; /ˈtʃiːtə/) is a large cat native to Africa and central Iran. It is the fastest land animal, capable of running at 80 to 128 km/h (50 to 80 mph), and as such has several adaptations for speed, including a light build, long thin legs and a long tail. Cheetahs typically reach 67–94 cm (26–37 in) at the shoulder, and the head-and-body length is between 1.1 and 1.5 m (3.6 and 4.9 ft). Adults typically weigh between 20 and 65 kg (44 and 143 lb). Its head is small, rounded, and has a short snout and black tear-like facial streaks. The coat is typically tawny to creamy white or pale buff and is mostly covered with evenly spaced, solid black spots. Four subspecies are recognised.
More gregarious than many other cats, the cheetah has three main social groups—females and their cubs, male 'coalitions' and solitary males. While females lead a nomadic life searching for prey in large home ranges, males are more sedentary and may instead establish much smaller territories in areas with plentiful prey and access to females. The cheetah is active mainly during the day and hunting is the major activity, with peaks during dawn and dusk. It feeds on small- to medium-sized prey weighing mostly below 40 kg (88 lb), and prefers medium-sized ungulates such as impala, springbok and Thomson's gazelles. The cheetah will typically stalk its prey to within 60–70 m (200–230 ft), charge towards it, trip it during the chase and bite its throat to suffocate it to death. Breeding occurs throughout the year; after a gestation of nearly three months a litter of typically three to five cubs is born; cheetah cubs are highly vulnerable to predation by other large carnivores such as hyenas and lions. Weaning happens at around four months, and cubs are independent by around 20 months of age.
The cheetah occurs in a variety of habitats such as savannahs in the Serengeti, arid mountain ranges in the Sahara and hilly desert terrain in Iran. The cheetah is threatened by habitat loss, conflict with humans and poaching. Earlier ranging throughout most of Sub Saharan Africa and extending eastward into the Middle East up to the Indian subcontinent, the cheetah is now distributed in mainly small, fragmented populations in central Iran and southern, eastern and northwestern Africa. In 2016, the global cheetah population was estimated at around 7,100 individuals in the wild; it is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. In the past, cheetahs used to be tamed and trained for hunting ungulates. They have been widely depicted in art, literature, advertising, and animation.

A perilous desert expedition calls for a capable vehicle.
Of all the incredible vehicles that the Adventurers theme gave us, I feel that one of the most overlooked is the truck from 5988. The box art suggests that it might belong to Baron von Barron, but I like to think of it as the larger companion to the Scorpion Tracker, providing some much-needed cargo space.
This is a revamp I’ve wanted to do for quite some time, and I’m very proud of how this came out. My version keeps a few iconic parts, such as the two-seater cab, the classic front grille, and the same rugged wheels, perfect for navigating the harsh desert landscape. There is still plenty of cargo space in the back for hauling crates, artefacts, or your fellow Adventurers if they don’t mind a slightly cramped ride.
Design-wise I wanted to make the truck a little more accurate to the 1920s, but I still wanted to maintain a certain level of late 90s Lego charm, so I tried to limit my usage of ultra-modern parts. Ultimately I’m really happy with how it turned out.
Whilst I was editing up the shots of Amy, it was this one that I got lost in. If you get to see it bigger you can see that, plain as day, I'm totally evident and obvious in the reflection in her eyes. They're like glass. Except that makes them sound cold and hard, when in fact they're warm and inviting and capable of totally riveting you to the spot. I make no bones about it, any woman with eyes like this, has me hook line and sinker. End of chat.
Totally looking forward to shooting with her again, and to try and play on the ideas going on here. I promise not to gush and rave about her too much... ;-)

On a recent visit to London, I noticed that a growing 'tradition' of attached locks to bridges, had spread to our own Millenium Bridge. I love it when those in authority allow people to take ownership of things like this and allow the population to stamp its personality, in its chosen way. Landmarks show those of the future, what a designer/constructor was capable of but this type of thing tells them something about everyone else, too.
NOAA Ship Fairweather in Kachemak Bay, Alaska. The Fairweather is designed and outfitted primarily for conducting hydrographic surveys in support of nautical charting, but the ship is capable of many other missions in support of NOAA programs. The Fairweather is equipped with the latest in hydrographic survey technology –- multi-beam survey systems; high-speed, high-resolution side-scan sonar; position and orientation systems; hydrographic survey launches; and an on-board data-processing server. The Fairweather is named for Mt. Fairweather in southeast Alaska, which is the highest peak in the Fairweather Range -- the tallest coastal range on Earth.

This was taken at a protest in Chicago and I loved how expressive these kids were and how happy they were to be there with their families. The quot is actually taken from a really amazing autobiographical wonder I just finished-Yiyun Li's Dear Friend, From My Life I Write to You in Your Life. It's not really about protesting, though this quote stood out. It's really more about depression and suicide and how writing, memories, making sense of past, melodrama, conversations and measuring time takes place in a life. It's a really philosophical and beautiful exploration into what makes us human beings. Highly recommended.
But, this quote alone actually got me thinking quite a bit about the nature of the protest, because there are so many emotions that occur at once when you are present there with all of these people in a community. We are all so very sad and angry but if we don't laugh, we won't stop crying. So many things are still so wrong and I wonder when this nightmare truly will end. It's especially unfair to the children. And yet, it is always reassuring to live amongst a community of people all advocating for the right things, it reaffirms your faith in humanity and allows you the chance to share laughter with your grieving. You can laugh so hard you almost cry or sob so loud it turns into laughter. It's hard to explain that, really, but there is so much simultaneous joy and heartache in the world. There always has been....but now we know all of the details it seems like seconds after it happens. And that pain is real...that sorrow is real. But we also can't allow ourselves to go insane or we're useless to our family, our community, ourselves and therein lies the balance where tears can become giggles and we are constant emotional architects, building bridges just to get through another long day of reality.

i made a youtube video comparing PBR items in Alchemy Beta (PBR capable viewer) and Firestorm (currently nonPBR viewer) just to see the differences.
my youtube video
www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTG5L51WH9M
If you make it over there, let me know what you think.
Firestorm is working on adding PBR. If you want to join their beta testing group to test their pbr viewer, go to their website and click the link to join their beta group in SL.
Alchemy beta does not have all the whistles and bells of Firestorm. For example, no area search which as a hunter, I really like. However, it does have some other advantages. PBR is one. That's very cool. Frame rate is faster. and you can do alt shift C for cinema mode for pictures and videos and the UI and huds disappear. Nice!
However, I know where things are in Firestorm so I'm very comfy with it.
The coolest thing about PBR: realtime reflections so you can have mirrors.

The common tern (Sterna hirundo) is a seabird in the family Laridae. This bird has a circumpolar distribution, its four subspecies breeding in temperate and subarctic regions of Europe, Asia and North America.
It is strongly migratory, wintering in coastal tropical and subtropical regions. Breeding adults have light grey upperparts, white to very light grey underparts, a black cap, orange-red legs, and a narrow pointed bill. Depending on the subspecies, the bill may be mostly red with a black tip or all black.
There are several similar species, including the partly sympatric Arctic tern, which can be separated on plumage details, leg and bill colour, or vocalisations.
The nominate subspecies of the common tern is 31–35 cm (12–14 in) long, including a 6–9 cm (2.4–3.5 in) fork in the tail, with a 77–98 cm (30–39 in) wingspan. It weighs 110–141 g (3.9–5.0 oz). Breeding adults have pale grey upperparts, very pale grey underparts, a black cap, orange-red legs, and a narrow pointed bill that can be mostly red with a black tip, or all black, depending on the subspecies.
The common tern's upper wings are pale grey, but as the summer wears on, the dark feather shafts of the outer flight feathers become exposed, and a grey wedge appears on the wings. The rump and tail are white, and on a standing bird the long tail extends no further than the folded wingtips, unlike the Arctic and roseate terns in which the tail protrudes beyond the wings. There are no significant differences between the sexes.
In non-breeding adults, the forehead and underparts become white, the bill is all black or black with a red base, and the legs are dark red or black. The upper wings have an obvious dark area at the front edge of the wing, the carpal bar. Terns that have not bred successfully may moult into non-breeding adult plumage beginning in June, though late July is more typical, with the moult suspended during migration. There is also some geographical variation; Californian birds are often in non-breeding plumage during migration.
Juvenile common terns have pale grey upper wings with a dark carpal bar. The crown and nape are brown, and the forehead is ginger, wearing to white by autumn. The upper parts are ginger with brown and white scaling, and the tail lacks the adult's long outer feathers.
Birds in their first post-juvenile plumage, which normally remain in their wintering areas, resemble the non-breeding adult, but have a duskier crown, dark carpal bar, and often very worn plumage. By their second year, most young terns are either indistinguishable from adults, or show only minor differences such as a darker bill or white forehead.
The common tern is an agile flyer, capable of rapid turns and swoops, hovering, and vertical take-off. When commuting with fish, it flies close to the surface in a strong head wind, but 10–30 m (33–98 ft) above the water in a following wind.
Unless migrating, normally it stays below 100 m (330 ft), and averages 30 km/h (19 mph) in the absence of a tail wind.[5] Its average flight speed during the nocturnal migration flight is 43–54 km/h (27–34 mph)[22] at a height of 1,000–3,000 m (3,300–9,800 ft)

Some people are capable of doing amazing things for humanity and still remain humble. Other people instead, woke up at 5 in the morning to take a picture and feel already like a hero. Guess which one of those two I am? Joke aside, with this picture I've realized a small dream I had for such a long time, that is being in Madeira, a place that looks like it comes from a fantasy world. Being there while surrounded by a magic light, can only add up more value to the moment.

Images with a black background are extremely popular
and are highly requested in portrait photography because it gives a professional look to the images.
Portraits with black backgrounds are powerful because they do not distract from your subject. The viewer’s eye is not drawn away as it can be with a white background. On the other hand, portraits with white backgrounds are popular with designers. They lend well to having text and other graphics placed on top in editing.
High speed sync - a technique available to many modern cameras and flash units that makes a black background easily and quickly almost anywhere. (This shot was created before I had a flash capable if high speed sync; so it was actually taken in a dark room with a torch).
This article explains the technique and how to achieve the effect:

"Lux in Tenebris
Here stands before you the mightiest of the Valkyrie, the one who watches over the balance between Light and Darkness, the Emissiary of Chaos. Her name is Altheona, the Twilight Valkyrie
A noble warrior, versed in the arts of chaos, and capable of unleashing tremendous power to vanquish her foes, and restore the balance between the Light and Darkness when under threat.
Armed with an arsenal of mystical weapons forged with the very essence of those powers, Altheona a skillful combatant when the need arises. She can summon the weapons and fluidly transition between their combinations for maximum effect. Her Seraphic Spear and Shield of Virtue are her primary response to the minions of darkness. She can also call upon the shadows to bring forth her Hellforged Mace and Demonic Shield to eliminate transgressors who serve the Light."
How overdue is this though!
For those of you who have been following me, you will have seen WIP's of this for several months. At some point I was done with it and I figured you guys might want to see it. So without further ado, here's a preview of my most perfect WIP to date: the Twilight Valkyrie!
I took a whole lot of (subconscious) inspiration from chaos-themed Yu-Gi-Oh! monsters, such as Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning, BLS - Envoy of the Evening Twilight, Tethys, Goddess of Light, and several others.
I have always been fascinated with the concept of perfect asymmetry, that splits a being completely between light and darkness, or any other similarly conflicting powers or phenomena. I have attempted several such MOC's in the past, such as Darklight Paladin and Draxx, Return of the Magnetomenace. I have also created an LDD collab with TheOneVeyronian depicting this concept as a chess game.
So there you have it! I hope you guys have enjoyed looking at this MOC, thanks in advance for likes/comments, and stay tuned for some more pics coming soon! Happy Holidays!
This big pigeon and his friends are constantly chasing sparrows and chickadees to come and devour their food!
I don't know how to drive them away, they keep coming back, they're not afraid of anything.
And in addition they try to intimidate me, their look is not friendly!
They are wild birds, quite capable of seeking and finding their food on their own.
Until the early 2000s there were forest birds, field birds, sparrows, tits, etc., which populated my environment, and which came to eat the food I gave them when they felt like it or need. I saw them, I heard them sing!
Then they all disappeared. They were replaced by doves, which in turn were replaced by crows, magpies, pigeons.
There are now far fewer crows and magpies.
But there are a lot of pigeons.
Little by little the sparrows, in flocks, and the tits have come back to eat the food that I give them. It had been years since I had seen any, and they are faithful, for my greatest happiness!
A bird that I don't know, with a dark red chest, came recently, and at the same time as the sparrows.
And this week a yellow-green bird came into the living room, it landed, looked at me, fluttered, landed again, then headed for the kitchen where it landed, before disappearing!
But these big pigeons take up space. They have incredible nerve! I live with the patio doors and windows wide open whenever the weather permits. And every year I have to fight against them, they decided that these rooms were perfect to come to live in, and I have to close the smallest space to prevent them from settling, building their nest and laying eggs!
The Environment Assessment Rover is one of the primary tools any spacefarer needs to determine the viability of inhabiting a given planet region. The sensors are capable of detecting underground fissures and liquids, samples can be collected and deposited in the rear bed, and the six wheel drive ensures manuverability over even the slushiest of terrain. When you're wary of trouble, a good EAR will always help you out!
I started working on this last year after barely missing Febrovery for the second year in a row (I am NOT good at time management...) but it was only recently that I could call it finalised. Today it's both bright and snowy, so I couldn't resist taking a shot in the wilds of my back garden!
Some feral horses of the two herds hosted on Pian Cavallaro.
Mount Cimone (2.165 m), Northern Italian Apennines - Modena, Emilia Romagna, Italy.
On my way to the top of mount Cimone, I stopped at Pian Cavallaro.
Mount Cimone is the highest peak of the Northern Italian Apennines (2.165 m): in some clear days, like this was, you can see the Alps (the harsh blue mountains), Central Italy and even Corsica and the Mediterranean sea. On the top, the use of the binoculars is fundamental.
Pian Cavallaro is above the tree line, the edge of the habitat at which trees are capable of growing: at this altitude, trees don't grow because of the Alpine climate and the inhospitable environment.
In this adverse climate, there's the Alpine tundra.

Whatever the imagination is capable of, it will be done on the Las Ramblas in Barcelona, Spain. The tenacity of each performer to be able to sit for hours on end completely still is amazing. Let alone the heat and their costumes. In particular this man looks like he is covered in chocolate, this is a heat magnet as well.

Vangaindrano/Fort-Dauphin track (Madagascar) - The 257 km between Vangaindrano and Fort-Dauphin can take a long time. In this rainy season the track is muddy and only 4X4s are capable of overcoming the most perilous obstacles. Unless there are trucks stuck in the middle of the road.” This happened to us on the first day of the trip, but we were able to take a half-hour detour through bush villages and trackless fields to get around trucks blocking the way.
To come from Fort-Dauphin to pick us up in Vangaindrano, Sylvestre our driver took 4 days. Tropical rain fell along the entire route, forcing him to constantly drive in four-wheel drive and adapt his driving to “rodeo” mode. Not to mention more than 20 hours waiting for a ferry assigned to a water passage to resume service due to very strong currents, making navigation dangerous.
When we left Vangaidrano, the good weather had returned and we only took two days to reach Fort-Dauphin, even if the first day we only covered barely 90 km in more than 14 hours due to 'a muddy track. But the further south we drove the “road” was less wet and we only had to deal with the ruts and significant drops in terrain. On the last 50 km of track before Fort-Dauphin, in better condition, we were able to reach peaks of 40 or even 50 km/h.
What took us the longest was crossing the arms of the sea and the rivers. On this track - which has the status of National Road - there are no less than 10 water crossings. Apart from the first two ferries which are equipped with a motor, the others require pulling a rope connected from one bank to the other. The less rustic ones are operated with a crank. The most unusual is undoubtedly ferry number 3 (photo) which we took on the morning of the second day. The real ferry, formerly motorized, risked sinking at any moment, the inhabitants of the bush village built a raft made of planks and cans, which did the trick. The smugglers charge an exorbitant price, even though initially the ferries are public and free. As we have no choice, there is no other solution than to pay.
Part of the “new order” at East Midlands Railways in the form of Class 180 Adelante 180111 at Kettering working 1B25, 08:50 Nottingham – St Pancras on the first day of the Summer 2021 timetable, 17th May 2021.
I have just travelled on this service from Nottingham and it is my first train journey since the 26th February 2020 due to the Covid19 crisis.
Whilst the electrification works and platform lengthening appears more or less complete there is still a lot of work to be undertaken on the platform buildings and canopies.
Unit History
180111 is one of fourteen units built by Alstom between 2000 and 2001 at Washwood Heath, Birmingham for express duties on the Great Western Main Line. They are part of the Alstom Coradia 1000 family of multiple units (along with the class 175) and are capable of 125mph. However their introduction was plagued by a number of reliability issues and First Great Western have gradually downgraded their use as they acquired additional HST sets until it finally disposed of the class during 2008/09. Following their discarding by First Great Western 180111 was one of four Class 180 units leased by First Hull Trains for Hull – Kings Cross duties and remained on these until displaced by Class 802 IEP units in early 2020. Following a period of crew training and a re-livery into East Midlands Railways colours it commenced Midland Main Line duties at the start of the new timetable on the 14th December 2020.

Drax power station is a large biomass and coal-fired power station in North Yorkshire, England, capable of co-firing petcoke. It is situated on the River Ouse between Selby and Goole. North Yorkshire, England
Hummingbirds are native only to the Americas. They are known for their ability to hover in mid-air by rapidly flapping their wings, 15 - 80 times per second (depending on the species). Capable of sustained hovering, the hummingbird has the ability to fly deliberately backwards or vertically, which is the only bird able to do so as to maintain its position while drinking from flower blossoms. They are named for the characteristic hum made by their wings.
Ruby-throated Hummingbirds are very solitary. They even migrate alone. Adults are not social, other than during courtship (which lasts only a few minutes), and when a female cares for her offspring. Both males and females of any age are aggressive towards other hummingbirds. They are very territorial and defend feeding areas by attacking and chasing other hummingbirds that enter it.
Many mistakenly believe nectar from flowers and flowering trees are a hummingbird's only food source. But small insects and spiders are also part of the hummingbird's main diet. Arthropods appear to be the main source of protein, minerals, and vitamins, especially when rearing offspring since nectar is an insufficient source of protein for the growing birds. Their diet may also occasionally include tree sap taken from sapsucker wells.
Hummingbirds show a slight preference for red, tubular flowers as a nectar source. The birds feed from flowers using a long extendable tongue, and catch insects on the wing or glean them from flowers, leaves, bark, and even from spider's webs.
Most Ruby-throated Hummingbirds spend the winter in southern Mexico, Central America as far south as South America, and the West Indies, and most get there by flying across the Gulf of Mexico. Some birds stay in the United States along the Gulf Coast and at the tip of Florida; these are usually birds from farther north rather than birds that spent the summer there.
In late summer to early fall Ruby-throated Hummingbirds fatten up for migration, which is important because part of their migration takes them across the Gulf of Mexico. This feat is impressive, as a 500-mile, non-stop flight over water requires caloric energy that far exceeds an adult hummingbird's body weight of 3 grams. However, researchers discovered the tiny birds can increase their body mass up to double with lean mass in preparation for their Gulf crossing. The additional mass, stored as fat, provides enough energy for the birds to achieve the flight.

There is a large herd of about 50 or more deer on the Lagoon Creek reserve.
Deer – Chital
Scientific name - Cervus axis
Other common names - Chital deer, Axis deer, Indian spotted deer.
Origin - India, Nepal and Sri Lanka
Distinctive characteristics - White throat patch and white spots. Dark dorsal stripe and band over muzzle. Noticeably long tail compared with other deer species.
Identification - Feral chital deer are a small-medium sized species. Their coat colour is variable, but is often dark to rusty red with uniformly marked white spots in lines along the body. They have a distinctive white throat patch and a dark muzzle. The coat colour of the inner legs and underside of the belly is white-beige. This species is often found in medium to large groups. Mature males have antlers that are smooth and slender with usually three tines on each, though the number of tines is influenced by animal condition. Antlers may be 70-89 cm in length. Males are larger in size and weight (90 cm and 85 kg) than females (80cm and 60 kg). Chital have a distinctive high-pitch alarm call when disturbed. Scats are small cylindrical pellets sometimes with an indentation at one end.
History and Biology - Chital deer were initially introduced to Australia from Sri Lanka and India in 1802 but did not survive. They were later successfully released into Queensland in the 1860's. Chital deer are herbivores that browse on a variety of grasses, fruit and leaves. They are gregarious and can form groups of more than 100 individuals. They do not have a defined breeding season, and are capable of producing three offspring in two years. Chital deer will eat their shed antlers if their diet is lacking the vitamins and minerals. Females will separate from the herd during birthing and rearing of young.
Distribution - Feral chital deer occur in many areas throughout Queensland, small areas in NSW, Victoria and the south-east of South Australia. They are absent from other regions.
Habitat - They can be found in a variety of habitats, including open grasslands, open and closed woodlands, thick forests and heavily timbered farmland.
Damage - Feral chital deer are a growing pest threat. They can cause significant browsing damage to native vegetation, damage sensitive habitats and compete with livestock for pasture. They can damage forestry plantations and ornamental gardens. They are not often found in close proximity to humans but they do present a serious motorway hazard. Feral chital deer may carry and spread livestock diseases that can cause production losses and increased management costs.

So, we finally got to a computer that was capable of running the Spore Creature Creator. We've only used the free trial edition at this point, but, as expected, Sophia and Enzo created a series of interesting creatures. See some of them in this set. My personal favorites are Whale, Human and Pickle (my name for that one).
Balloon is my favorite of all – in no small part because The Red Balloon was one of my favorite films while growing up and is still in my top ten. I haven't seen this one yet though.
Spore Creature Creator is now highly recommended by us and we are all looking forward to playing the game Spore (more here) when it is released in September. By then we will have upgraded our operating system and should have no problem.

Came across this newly born Carneddau Foal and its Mother near the Gwern Engen lake which forms part of the 148 acre Pensychnant Nature Reserve. It's can only be a few weeks old - hence it's still suckling and the stumpy tail.
Compared to the rugged and open surrounding hillsides and mountains this area offers distinct advantages for raising young. In fact I came across many parent groups with much older foals too.
Not only is the grazing much better, with a nearby plentiful supply of cool fresh water, there's also the added protection of high ferns and other undergrowth.
There are thought to be around 200 Carneddau Ponies living wild on the Carneddau Plateau between Aber and Conwy on the North Wales Coast - of which the Pensychnant Nature Reserve is a part. They are a sturdy and hardy breed capable of surviving even the harshest of winters. Research has shown them to be one of the rarest breeds in the world - having lived in the mountains for thousands of years and being around since the time of the Celts.
Such lovely and endearing animals - long may they continue!
Thank you for your love, your friendship and wonderful support. Happy New Year to you all <3

YOU'VE GOT A FRIEND – JAMES TAYLOR
Somewhere under the rainbow
a seagull full of hope
flies low across a violet sky
telling me that I can cope
so many signs we see if only
we care to open our eyes and look
the tender pages of our stories
rest gently between a velvet-covered book
bookmarked by a wish; a dream
on a snow white angel's wing and prayer
we are capable of so many things
if only we be brave and dare
so many times I tumble down
so many times get up
the little precious many things
I find to fill my golden cup
I raise it now and wish you well
blow you a New Year's kiss
ne'er let Auld Lang Syne be e'er forgot
a cup of kindness is full of bliss
if love is a many splendoured thing
and music be the food of love
then I have eaten a banquet here
a feast lain down from Heaven above
and as the New Year begins again
I'll keep you always in my heart
and if sometimes it seems I'm scarce
remember these words of René Descartes
“He lives well who is well hidden”
as I seek the truth of my life in silent ways
with clear mind comes a revelation
that will buoy me up on stormy waves
when grey clouds loom; obscure my vision
I know the moon and sun still shine
and you will know too that I am here
just call my name; send me a sign.

......again.
oregon is an open carry state, and I have been told by a relative that the gun carrying citizens of oregon were capable of stopping any gun violence that might occur.
it didn't work.
I tried to find statistics on shootings, but there seem to be a great deal of contradictory reportings.
I think even one is too many, and we've had more than one.
...and now for something completely different!
Most All Terrain Rovers while very capable, are still unable to travel across some terrains due to the fixed configuration of their frame and limited travel suspension systems...
Removal of the frame and suspension system is the only logical solution.
At this time, Tycho Systems is excited to announce a new evolution in rover technology...
We now present the "ANYWHERE YOU WANNA GO YOU CAN GO THERE ROVER. But you can just call it just call it the "GWYWTG" for short.
No longer will rover pilots worry about deep ruts, unusually rugged terrain, or unexpected methane lakes!
The new GWYWTG can easily traverse even the most inhospitable surfaces.
Gone is the troublesome need to plan your trip around difficult terrains. Our latest NAV system will take you from A to B in the shortest possible distance by simply following a straight line to your destination.
When traction becomes a problem simply flip the Quadrapedal motion button. In this configuration what was impassible becomes easy-peasy. Walk over harsh terrain, and easily power your way across unexpected lakes and frozen ice caps!
Their is even a bipedal mode! Yes, bipedal! Our engineers haven't quite figured out why you would need this configuration, but they sleep well knowing it is their if you decide to use it. We are confident that you will find a purpose for it, and probably when least expected.
They are the largest of the African eagles and incredibly powerful, capable of knocking an adult man off his feet. The largest eagle in Africa, the Martial Eagle weighs in at almost 14 pounds (6.5 Kg.) and has a wingspan of about 6 feet 4 inches. It is 32 inches long. The upper parts are dark brown with a white belly with black streaks; the legs are white and have very large talons. The immature bird looks quite different from the adult.
Nests are built invariably in trees, at any height from 20 to 80 feet above ground, but often in the largest tree in the area, growing on a steep hillside or in a gorge, where the bird has a clear sweep off the nest.
Martial Eagles will soar for hours on up draughts without hunting, and with a full crop, but it does most of its hunting from the soar also, killing or attacking by a long slanting stoop at great speed, or a gentle descent into an opening in the bush, the speed of the descent being controlled by the angle at which the wings are held above the back. It may kill from a perch, but does so seldom, and most of its kills are surprised in the open by the speed of the eagle's attack from a distance. (Source: Siyabona Africa)
