As we entered the Grand Teton National Park we were blown away. The lighting was short lived. I’m calling it lucky. Right place, right time!

This was taken during our first evening at Yellowstone. My wife and I took a hike through the Upper Geyser Basin. This particular image was captured at around 10:30 PM. It was an incredible evening, one that we’ve planned and looked forward to for nearly two years.
Majorly Green Ivy - I would never have thought ivy could be so hardy and growing in winter. Seen in Delaware near Winterthur. It was bitterly cold and overcast this afternoon, but the green leaves were most vivid growing on an old tree.
was a wet and rainy night in Las Vegas Nevada and it brought out all of the snails to crawl through the garden. Used Tamron 90mm macro lens and a ring flash.

As I get better at editing my photos, I like to go back to some of the older images, that I think I can finally do some justice to and rework them.
Was able to photograph a couple beautiful models at the Neon Museum, downtown Las Vegas, Nevada.

February 2020, Photo Tour to Kuusamo, Finland - image 16:
Always hoping to see a Siberian Tit (Poecile cinctus), whilst being in the greater area of Kuusamo. Have seen this species several times in the northern parts of Finland, and every time I see them again its a highlight. They are small and quick and thus a great challenge to photograph.

After hiking from the Brink of the Upper Falls trail head, the views from the bottom were amazing in all directions. This was looking up stream prior to the falls. Very different views up stream vs. down stream as you’ll see in future posts.
The strongest crane vessel in the world, SSCV Sleipnir from Heerema Marine Contractors, leaving the Port of Rotterdam for sea trials.
It was cold and dark, BUT it was all worth it. I was afraid it would be too cloudy and hazy, but glad the outcome turned out alright.

A few uploads ago I already wrote that it had been a few years since I photographed a Eurasian Pygmy Owl (Glaucidium passerinum) for the last time. And that I had it on the wish list for this autumn/winter, and as it seemed that there were a few around in the wider area of Helsinki. Well this is now #2 already.
This Eurasian Pygmy Owl is pretty aware of its surroundings. Definitely not afraid of me... instead there was a Northern Goshawk flying over. The owl felt threatened, and stretched out so long, tall and thin, that it looked more like a rough tree snag than a bird. Happy Days!
Some branches were removed in Photoshop to get a cleaner, more pleasant view. At least I like it like this...
