There were a lot of freshly dug burrow entrances all around the area on the edge of the trout filled Goodradigbee river running near Brindabella NSW, then I noticed this wombat watching me - it went into it's burrow when I approached, but I waited a moment and it reversed back out of it's burrow and we watched each other for a few minutes.
I was surprised to see one out and about during the day, I think ti is the second time I have been able to see one in the wild up close.
Every time i've come by this monumental tree with a camera, the neighbor makes some comment about cutting the thing down. Truly, my heart saddens with his desire and it pushes me to take more photos of it. But what good are these photos without the tree?
