All I knew about this was that it was taken on Wednesday 19th July 1978, but I had ranged quite widely around the west Midlands that day, with stop-offs in Wolverhampton, Dudley, briefly in the centre of Birmingham, and Coventry. I looked up the vehicle on Bus Lists. It had been a Daimler Fleetline CRG6LX with MCCW body, new in 1962 to Birmingham Corporation. This didn't look like anywhere in Birmingham. Then I noticed the bus in the background ...the one dressed for the 14 to Finham. This bus ...the registration looked the same... appeared in another photograph I posted here some time ago. On that occasion kind readers had identified the location as Broadgate, Coventry, an important hub of that city's bus service. This must have been the next shot on the film. 3241 seems to have avoided the limelight: a search on its registration number produces no other photograph on Flickr.
Short mode. Now I need to sort out the saturation/brightness. I've not been pleased with the results of my latest setup, but since it's a permanent setup (I don't have to assemble it every time) I'm keen to keep at it.
although I am pretty scared of horses, I called this one over so I could take some shots of it (it was behind the fence, phew)

This is part of an art piece at a gallery. It is a larger art piece with many other items as an assemblage.
