A photo from last month on one of my rare outings with the camera.

Seen on Thorney, an impressive colour on this 1993 Mercedes 300 SL auto. Not sure what it's doing here as an online check indicates it has a "SORN" or statutory off road notification so is not road-legal. But it's a fine colour.

I cropped this again in May 2021 so it’s more abstract. Beautiful Morston. Straight from the camera, apart from the crops.

Ya know, I'm not sure that I remember the last time I used my 14mm lens in daylight. In fact, I don't usually even carry it with me during daylight shooting. I happened to have it on me for this day, and I actually ended up needing it, what a lucky break!

Hiking in Johnston Canyon, I happened to dip off a small trail following a couple other hikers' path and found this little gem, just a touch off the main trail. Glad I decided to see what was around the next bend!

Shot with a Canon 5D mark IV, a Rokinon 14mm f/2.8, and triggered with my phone. Processed in Camera Raw and Photoshop.

"Memories last a lifetime."

Venus was ready for an unforgettable adventure, her well-deserved vacation. Dressed in her bright red swimsuit and carrying a woven bag, she imagined exploring distant horizons where golden sand met shimmering waves. Salty air, fiery sunsets and a gentle breeze promised days of discovery and relaxation. Nothing could stop his desire for freedom and escape. 🌅👜

Autumn is a great time to be outdoors with a camera, especially, here in the Niagara Peninsula of Ontario. That's why I try to get out as often as possible at this time of year.

In the heart of winter, she strolled through the snow-covered streets with her signature boldness. While others clutched steaming drinks to keep warm, she proudly held a Frozen Peach—a playful twist that perfectly complemented her unique style. Because who said you can't enjoy a frosty cocktail beneath a flurry of snowflakes? That winter evening, she owned the scene with elegance and charm, dressed to conquer the snowy backdrop like a true fashion icon.

I started out with my camera a few times recently and just could not summon the energy to continue here at Longmont after very few days of exciting sky prospects. Today, we got good weather but no sky at all. I posted a recent good sky day as "Cloud Creep" from this fall. However, I discovered a snap in one of my holding directories with another interesting sky that feature chlorophyll taking the season's dive. Here it is! Now I've posted more skies. There have been plenty of good skies in the past, today shows a good sky.

This spot is surrounded by city and the parking at the rec. area is just a few car blocks west from home base. I wanted to look for possible locations even though the sky has been the pits recently and I bagged shooting the last two days. I opted for studying the incoming clouding so I could gauge the longevity of the posted trek.

This scene is all tree and sky, the fall fell this year but I made this bold image during an earlier autumn. I liked the sky. I augmented the cloud separations for the presentation. I knew I'd have some work to try to contain the range. I wandered the green space and took some detail shots that were available, I mostly neglected including the sky today. I'm all about the skies. I love shooting these wide scenes with this camera and lens. I might lug the tripod when I return. Some of the shots were slow but the bright clouds pinched the f: stop down.

From Wikipedia : "The University Church of St Mary the Virgin (St Mary's or SMV for short) is an Oxford church situated on the north side of the High Street. It is the centre from which the University of Oxford grew and its parish consists almost exclusively of university and college buildings.

St Mary's possesses an eccentric baroque porch, designed by Nicholas Stone, facing High Street, and a spire which is claimed by some church historians to be one of the most beautiful in England. Radcliffe Square lies to the north and to the east is Catte Street. The 13th-century tower is open to the public for a fee and provides good views across the heart of the historic university city, especially Radcliffe Square, the Radcliffe Camera, Brasenose College and All Souls College."

Vintage Exa 35mm SLR [version 4] circa 1956, manufactured by Ihagee, Dresden Germany

French type of tourist camera from about 1890-1900 for 13 x 18 cm film. The camera was sold by Barend Groote & Co who with his brother Hendrik had a store with photographic supplies at Kalverstraat 43 in Amsterdam.

The camera is sporting a no name aplanatic lens - here with a clip-on yellow filter; the shutter is by Butcher & Son. It's a simple camera with hardly any movements. To make horizontal pictures one could rotate the camera's back panel 90 degrees which simultaneously rotated the bellows; the frontpanel has horizontal and vertical shift.

When travelling the camera can be folded into a nice flat package.
