I like the calm feeling of this shot with the soft ripples in the water and great reflection. For me this shot captures the calm feeling of Swan Lake just after sunrise.

Just a quick landscape shot I took yesterday evening with the Sony A7 and the Canon FD 35 2.8 MF lens.
I am still getting used to the manual focus thing but I am liking it and must admit that I would love the Zeiss Loxia 2/35 which I was able to test some time ago.
The stitches reveal the gentle rhythm of hands, yarn, and hook as they move through each row of an afghan. Thank you for taking a moment to check out my photo. HFF
The forest streams have entered their oilslick season early. Thin skin of black water on grey rock, dry natural highway more easy to follow. I've never lost love for these places that the forest can't claim. It's always trying, spreading soil at the edges, growing overhanging branches, deadfall crashing in. But eventually, some unbound downpour brings a wild rush to sweep it all away. I find that absence in nature is always underrated. A roaring current or crashing waterfall is certainly majestic, and I've found plenty of pleasure in that. People get distracted by some dramatic showing, so the calm that comes after is often overlooked. Go low and I'll follow, fade away and I'll notice, grow derelict and I might finally get curious. Pull the plug and let it drain like a dream with waking. Set me on the smallest current in the drifting direction of adventure.

Mum is well and on the road to recovery after her fall.....:o)...thank goodness.don't like it when there is lots of upset and disruption/worry.i like life being consistently calm and a certain amount of routine.back to work soon after nearly 3months on the sick after a car accident.....so this picture just says it all to me.

Here's another sunrise from Spring Lake, NJ. It was definitely a step in a different direction from my last Spring Lake morning. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to see the sun at all, but the clouds lifted just enough and just in time. I really miss warm weather sunrises, summer can't get here fast enough.

How to avoid vignetting
I use a cheap ebay filter holder (equiv. the 3x slot Cokin P serie).
The trick to avoid vignetting is to peel off the edges with a scalpel for example.
Peel and cut until you don't see any of the edges of the filter holder in the viewfinder.
Thats the reason you don't need the Z-series =)
