Very early morning at Devoke Water

Calm is the wind because the trees have held their breath

Calm are the children for they have lost their minds in play

Calm are the mothers for their children hold tight their words

Calm are the fathers because their work allows their hearts to speak

Calm is the world for each of every knows all of every love the other the same

my mind is running fast and my heart is beating faster at an amazing opportunity that has just come up for me to potentially shoot a campaign in london. the past two days have been a messy blur of castings and international calls, so here is a picture today; a calm before a storm (i hope).

489 leads a train north from Charma as part of a photo charter put on by Lerro Photography at the Cumbres and Toltec railroad.

For the tour, 489 was redecaled into Rio Grande speed lettering and hauled a vintage freight from Chama, NM to Osier CO, and return on Saturday. While on Sunday, the 1880s era 168, relettered to 167, paired with 463 (both lettered DRGW) ran a recreated freight double headed, from Antonito CO to Osier and return.

Quiet and peaceful Lake

Stromboli Island and Mt. Stromboli Volcano, Italy, 2017.

Stromboli is a relatively small Island in the Mediterranean Sea, pretty close to the south Italian coast. There are 3 little villages on the island with about 500 inhabitants all together. The volcano has been active continuously for about 2000 years with comparatively small eruptions every few minutes.

Life is as a journey through the sea: there are days of calm and stormy days; what is important is being a good captain of our ship.

The weather is not looking good for this evening to go snapping so I have posted another image taken a few weeks ago of the sunset over Langstone Harbour, Hayling Island, Hampshire, UK.

It was a lovely calm evening providing some decent reflections of the clouds and the yachts on the still waters of the harbour!

This image is similar to previous post with a tighter crop and more reflected colour in the foreground.

Where to go, when you want to take photos? I'm getting more and more lazy - it used to be New Brighton, but it's 20 minutes long drive. West Kirby it is then - 5 minutes! I think it looked more promising then boats in Meols, but I really need to get up earlier to get farther afield...

Even calm can have a few ripples.

Whilst leaning on a field entrance gate searching for Hares, I notice some movement to my right.

Suddenly a young Roe buck appeared and walked calmly along the crop edge towards me. When it finally spotted me pointing my camera lens in its direction it looked up and then just carried on walking until it got to the field edge and disappeared into the hedgerow, only to appear in the next field a few minutes later.

At the snow monkey park in Nagano Japan

the sky remains untouched, a silent witness to the day’s retreat. below, the sea revolts, colliding with the rocks, refusing the stillness. the palms stand motionless, indifferent to the struggle. somewhere between the quiet and the crash, the world exhales.

Calma piatta. Si fa fatica a sentire anche il rumore delle piccole onde infrangersi sugli scogli
