Calla Lilies are grown as perennials here and just about every garden has a bunch of them... they are starting to open now.

Can't have a mediterranean garden without Calla Lilies. Women used to plant them outside the kitchen door- where they dumped the dishwater - I often wondered why they had such wonderful flowers- Calla Lilies like to have their feet wet!!!

Calla Lilies are natives of South Africa and they were introduced to Europe in 1731. They are moisture-loving perennials that grow to about 2 1/2ft (60-75cm).
