The Calla Lily bulb that I planted about three years ago finally decided to grow into a nice healthy looking plant! It produced one bloom this year. I hope whoever has our apartment next appreciates it :)

An old woman wandered by as I took this and advised I come back in the daytime. (How stupid, taking photos at night!)

I took this through a fence, so couldn't play much with the composition.

Not for nothing is the Calla lilies one of the most popular cut flowers over here. One simple vase, one beautiful Calla on a countertop or a table and your done with giving the room a lasting decent ambiance. In 2011 we Germans bought cut flowers for 4,1 billion €. Try it yourselves, you´ll love it!

In this view of the calle lily I hardened the edges a bit and upped the saturation to give it a bit more punch.

I haven't posted any flowers in a while and I really missed them. More to come.

I took this photo by laying flat on the ground at the Edinburgh Botanical Garden and aiming through a mass of leaves. Worth the effort, I think.
