In this view of the calle lily I hardened the edges a bit and upped the saturation to give it a bit more punch.

Been to long since I've posted. Where does the time go. Hoping this finds all of my Flickr Friends well.
Three calla lilies we have growing in a planter in our front yard. It was a nice morning the sun was just coming up and there was a nice soft light I was playing with my new 40mm Nikkor Fixed Prime lens with a polarizing filter on. I had to move the planter a little so that I had most of the lawn as a background and still had the lilies arranged this way and I use an open aperture of 3.0 to get a shallow depth of field.I used the polarizing filter to get the vibrant pink and green colors. It was a nice sunny morning but the whole yard was cast in the shadow of the huge oaks growing in the neighborhood so I had to increase the ISO to 1250 to get the right level of light I wanted, I usually keep the ISO at 100 and compensate with a slower shutter speed but I was shooting freehand and didn’t want any motion blur
Another black and white calla macro.
