The Agua Caliente Warm Springs is a beautiful little Oasis in the Sonoran Desert. This perennial warm spring was the location of a health ranch resort built in 1873 that was used to promote the curtive properties of the spring. Today there are three ponds fed by the spring water which support a diverse population of fish and wildlife.
We arrived in Aguas Calientes, which is expensive for Peru. We wanted a cheap hotel and was approached by a woman who said her hotel had a lovely view of the moutains at Machupicchu. She of course lied.
There was a view of Machupicchu in the hotel that wasn't located in any of the rooms. Our view however looked out to a bunch of clothelines and a dog. This if course was great because it was a great photo to add to my ever growing clothesline image collection.
