Caleb Penn as The Beggar in "The Beggar's Opera" at the Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington.
I've had so many pictures of Caleb and Zeus, but managed to get a couple of rare shots of Caleb and the other lady in his life.
My daughter taking Calebs Flat Stanley for a ride in a F16 Fighter jet.
F16 Falcons are extremely capable combat aircraft. Able to withstand a 9G turn, it's likely the pilot will fail before the airframe does.
The first F16 took to the skies late in 1976, delivery to combat squadrons followed in Jan 1979. The Falcon was one of the first to use the now standard fly-by-wire control system whereby no direct mechanical link is provided, instead the pilot's controls comunicate with F16 's electronics which in turn move the aircraft's flying surfaces. This system allows for a sidemounted control stick instead of the conventional between the knees joystick that came as standard with combat planes since the beginning. Far from being a gimmick this allows the pilot better control during the high-G manouvers the plane can fly. Just think what your arm would feel like 9 times heavier that it is now!
Caleb pulled himself all the way up on his own today. He really like doing it and is getting better about getting back down without bruises.
This is the first picture I had total control over. I shot it, processed it, and printed it myself. Most of the credit for this shot goes to the model. I was goofing around in the back yard while Caleb was jumping around on the trampoline. Pointed my camera at him and he dropped down and struck this pose.

she is a silly party animal!! :)
Caleb scoots uphill while Toby takes the lead by employing his best speed-walking technique and shedding his trousers.
A few shots of Caleb's gymnastic class and some of baby brother Joshua. (Horrible conditions to take pictures in -- shooting through a big plate glass window that was reflecting all the light coming in from the outside through another huge window. Add that to the lighting in the warehouse size classroom!)
Caleb Blood Smith (April 16, 1808 – January 7, 1864) was an American journalist and politician, serving in the Cabinet of Abraham Lincoln during the American Civil War.
Lincoln appointed Smith as the United States Secretary of the Interior in 1861 as a reward for his work in the presidential campaign. He was the first citizen of Indiana to hold a Presidential Cabinet position. However, Smith had little interest in the job and, with declining health, delegated most of his responsibilities to Assistant Secretary of the Interior John Palmer Usher. In 1862, he was interested in the empty seat in the United States Supreme Court vacated by John Archibald Campbell's resignation the previous year. However, Lincoln nominated David Davis for the position instead. When Lincoln showed the draft of the Emancipation Proclamation to his cabinet, the conservative Smith considered resignation upon its public announcement, but accepted the decision in the end. After Smith resigned in December 1862 due to poor health, he went home to become the United States circuit judge for Indiana. He died January 7, 1864, from his ill health. President Lincoln ordered that government buildings be draped in black for two weeks in a sign of mourning for Smith's death.
