Las Vagas is ripe with photographic opportunities. This unique escalator was photographed within Caesar's Palace casino.
Caesar beat the odds and put up an amazing fight, he lived well past the 3 months the vets predicted, but no amount of money or vet care could save him and this morning we had to let him go. We will miss him dearly.

This is the only male nude at Caesars Palace that faces the Strip. I like to refer to him as "the Teabagger of the Las Vegas Strip."

A lovely replica of Winged Victory at Samothrace, one of the more famous Greek sculptures.
The statue depicts the Greek Goddess of Victory, Nike, and the original is housed at the Louvre, Paris, France.
The area right under the tower in the background is the Caesars Palace Outdoors Arena. From the late 1970s through the 1990s, it was actively used for high-profile boxing matches, and although it is no longer used as actively (and MGM Grand Garden Arena tends to host boxing matches), it does still see occasional usage.

Такое кино я люблю - бриллианты фееричнейшего стёба рассыпаны по всему фильму - тут вам и Красная подлодка у берегов Америки (это пять!), и пресловутый чемодан денег (в итоге вообще потерявшийся - он утонул)), и лже-пафосный бабник-алкоголик (по фильму) Клуни, и взаимоисключающий троллинг патриархов всех конфессий о роли небезызвестных пероснажей в той самой истории, плюс отличный эпизод у Ralph Fiennes, который пытается научить молодую звезду вестернов и туповатого ковбоя (Alden Ehrenreich) сыграть в драме (впрочем не менее дурацкой, чем те вестерны).
Остальные суперстары в не менее идиотских ролях, отмечу Тильду, она играет сестёр-близнецов - надоедливо пронырливых журналисток, и Channing Tatum - этот вообще прыгнул выше головы! Правда жаль, что у Scarlett Johansson маловато времени - киса играет беспринципно-лживую стерву, и одновременно, по одной из линий сюжета, она - невинная русалка, в прямом смысле, хаха. Единственный нормальный человек в этом цирке, это пожалуй Бролин, управляющий студией, он практически безупречен (правда ходит на исповеди каждые сутки, причем по совершенно дурацким поводам).
Довершает апокалипсис наших дней - ботано-коммунистическое подполье, состоящее сплошь из сценаристов-идеалистов, которые считают что их обдирают студии, при этом они живут нахаляву в шикарнейшем доме на берегу океана, где их приютил некий друг, и проводят жизнь в бесконечных праздных разговорах, обличающих проклятую капиталистическую систему - давно я не получал такого эстетического удовольствия! Думаю что это один из лучших фильмов Коэнов, и он резко выделяется на фоне невыносимо безмозглого барахла в текущем прокате (типа дедпула/супермэна - буэээ). Так что не пропустите, с сабами он ещё идёт в Авроре, например.

Caesar was busy painting a beautiful mural on the wall of a coffee shop in Toronto and I just had to go back and ask him about his artwork. He removed his headphones and explained that this was a job commissioned by the owner of the coffee shop and he had "won" the job over several other artists who had competed for it.
He told me that he is a graduate of the local art college and enjoys doing art projects with children as well as large-scale projects such as this one. He showed me some of his portfolio on his smart phone and the paintings were large and remarkably detailed. Caesar told me this job was set to take 5 days to complete and that he can't paint when the temperature drops near the freezing point because the paint will not adhere.
He liked the idea of the 100 Strangers Project but it took a bit of coaxing to get him to show me his face for the photo. It was a very nice interaction and he encouraged me to return in a few days to see the finished product.

El Caesars Palace es un hotel y casino ubicado en Las Vegas Strip, Nevada, Estados Unidos. Pertenece y es operado por el grupo empresarial Harrah's Entertainment, y fue inaugurado el 5 de agosto de 1966. Ha sido remodelado en cinco ocasiones: en 1974, en 1979, en 1992, en 2001 y en 2005. Cuenta con 3.349 habitaciones en cinco torres: "Augusto", "Centurión", "Romana", "Palacio" y "Foro". El tema principal del hotel es el Imperio Romano.
En 1962, Jay Sarno, el propietario de un motel, utilizó $10 millones de dólares que había recibido de la Teamsters Central States Pension Fund para planificar un hotel sobre las tierras pertenecientes a Kirk Kerkorian. Sarno se desempeñaría más tarde como diseñador del hotel.
Ese mismo año, la construcción del Caesars Palace empezó. La primera torre de 14 pisos tendría 680 habitaciones en un área de 138.000 metros cuadrados.
Decidir el nombre del hotel no fue una tarea fácil para Sarno. Finalmente, optó por bautizarlo como "Caesars Palace" para evocar la grandeza del líder romano Julio César. i bought this cuzz ball for logan actually because caesar has about 5 soccer balls already and he stole logan's squeeky cow but logan could have cared less about it...so caesar got it, and LOVES it!
he's still outside and i can hear poor Mr. Cuzz squealing, LOL
