This is my first attempt at this..I got carried away and did like 50 different things with this project.

Shadow of a bench. I like the lattice pattern the bench made.

cwd141 - Abstract. From wikipedia: Abstract art is now generally understood to mean art that does not depict objects in the natural world, but instead uses color and form in a non-representational way. You are free to create your abstraction entirely in-camera, in post-processing, or as a combination of the two.

When I think about the past I think of thousands of beautiful days spent surrounded by beautiful living things. When I think about the future I think of thousands of days spent surrounded by thousands of beautiful living things ... whether or not I continue to exist is irrelevant so long as the Earth remains alive.

There is nothing in Heaven more beautiful than the living Earth. There is nothing in Hell more horrendous than Human Nature and what it has done to the living Earth.

When humans get finished destroying the Earth Nature will repay the favor upon humankind. When Nature gets angry the planet's dominate species goes extinct. Humankind isn't so special that the Universe would lose anything in losing humankind.

I chose the sun as a light source because it simply amazes me the amount of energy it puts out. The fact that it can burn my skin from so far away always mystifies me.

The rainbow of colors really captures the suns rays as they seep through the single window of a barn hay loft. I didn't like the lens flares at first because they reminded me of every amateur photoshop user's attempt at editing a picture by just using the lens flare filter. But they add a nice pattern to complement the barns rafters.

I also like how the angle of the knives made them reflect less than the wooden beam they were stuck in.

I think I captured the sun's rays.
