Hydrofoil Curl Curl and the 1974-built ferry Lady Wakehurst both arrive together at Sydney's Circular Quay.
Lady Wakehurst was operating almost exclusively as a Manly Ferry at this time, and would continue to do so until the arrival of the Freshwaters later during the 1980s. It is almost certain that Manly Wharf was her point of departure on this occasion.
Curl Curl - being the much faster of the two - would have left well after Lady Wakehurst in order to arrive at the Quay at the same time.

Another of the tiny solitary bees that I came across on my stay in France in August.
I think this one may be somewhere between 3 and 4:1 magnification. Really tiny bees.
The darker species here looks vivid against the bright colour of the flower.
I love how these little bees tend to curl their abdomen when latching on to gather pollen and nectar.

A tree, a branch , like any other plant is in the need of light.
Maybe this green dance is toward the light

Any advice / constructive criticism welcome (I'm new to the game!), thanks!
I normally sort of take the weekends off on flickr, but just felt like posting something today :) This is from a gorgeous morning a few months ago. Waves breaking by the jetty and the light was just stellar.
Curling up while lit by the great sun of the desert, which was shining through the thin glass before her.

South Curl Curl this morning was quite funny. We were set up preparing for sunrise when 2 ladies turned up right next to us and started to do some yoga moves, I had to join them. It made for a few laughs.

A Contemplation Upon Curls by Abby Koning
Your gentle and tentative fingers curl
Softly about my own
Reminiscent of the curls
Falling about your downturned face
And, what is a curl, really?
Not quite a circle, not quite a square
Not quite anything, truly
...
But for now, our hands are still together
And we are defined by each other
‘We’ is so much less lonely than
‘I’ or ‘You’ or ‘He’ or ‘She’
And we are nothing more than curls
Existing, but not meant to be known
Or studied
Or admired.
Not quite circles.
Not quite squares.
Not quite anything at all.

There was something about the light reflecting from the windows in the neighbouring building onto this expanse of azure wall that hugely appealed to me... certainly the contrasting angular roofline and swooping curves of the gate below were part of the appeal, but I think that it was the dappled light that really got me.
Didn't like her last boil perm, so did a different one. This one is loads better and makes it look like she has more hair. :)
I love wearing my hair up,so feminine and adds different style to my look, another of those things I love about being a girl
Loved the symmetry of the back of this leaf with the red front edges curling into view. (23-09-08-0124)
went up to north curl curl with ninos ( beginner on the loose ) and mother nature gave us another spectacular sunrise .. had a ball as per usual .. lately iv been wanting to try and use two types of photography i love , strobes and seascapes , the two things im growing to like very much .. i hope you enjoy looking at it as much as i enjoy taking it ;)
have a great weekend .. whats left of it anyway ;) ..
strobist info - sb800 gridded behind ninos at 1/8 power , the other sb800 gridded at 1/2 power with 1/4 cto gel just out of screen camera right aimed at his ninos's head ..
alittle dodging on the bottom of image to bring out alittle detail on the rocks .. i also tried my best to remove the flare around ninos's tripod , very hard though .. PP as per usual ..
