Curls from this spectacular slow worm (Anguis fragilis) and joy all mine from seeing this magnificent legless lizard when I lifted a black membrane after yesterday’s rain. It may have felt into the boxed section of the garden under construction from the upper section where we had old rockery stones piled up waiting to be re-used. It had nowhere to go and had to be rescued moving where it would have come… but for the price of being photographed and memories shared. Bath, BANES, England, UK

Things you only see if you're crawling around your yard on your hands and knees.

Here and there but hopefully I'll be more here :)

The lifecycle of Queen Anne's Lace from blossom to sculpture always fascinates me. Found this one in Southford Falls State Park in Connecticut. Press "L" for details of the sculptured flower.

Colour re-edit of a shot captured in May 2017. Enjoy!

Not your normal symmetrical Dahlia flower. This one in my garden has very large flowers with quite a wild effect with the petals swirling all over the flower.

Western Bunch Fern,curled up.

Lush and gorgeous these waves of curls are part of an impossibly huge white Chrysanthemum 'Mt. Shasta' at Smith College's Lyman Conservatory Chrysanthemum Show. At 8-10 inches in diameter these shimmering orbs in white, yellow, lilac and pink tower above smaller varieties.

It's a beautiful show - if you'll be in this area it runs through Sunday, November 22nd.

The curl of a wave sprinkled with some diamonds will soon tumble over itself onto the sea below.

For the Macro Monday challenge "Leaf" (August 30th 2021)

Some leaves just get more beautiful as they die and dry - changing colour, becoming translucent and curling into lovely shapes. This one reminded me of a croissant! 😊

The portion of the leaf here almost fills the 3" size limit!

HMM!! and have a lovely week ahead!

I dunno why those dots that made its name as tiger lily in the petals are shedding off.
