These are cigar leaves from Luis' families farm. If you were lucky enough that I brought one back for you, you know how good they were! Sadly I forgot extra batteries and my camera died right after this shot. But you should have seen me out there on the horse. Cigar in my mouth, riding through the countryside, yelling 'yegva' to make the horse go faster. Luis laughing his head off, yelling back 'Bravo, Michel, Bravo!!!.' I held shit down!! What a great day!

Hispanic Heritage Month Event: The Sounds of Cuba: Afro-Cuban Folklore in the Countryside to Salsa in the City, performed by the Supersones trio!
In the Sounds of Cuba, the Supersones classic guitar trio tells the story of the development of many styles of traditional Cuban dance music that grew from a fertile fusion of cultures in the heart of the Carribbean. The group uses visual aides to teach about Cuban culture. The trio invites active participation from the audience.
A bilingual presentation for all ages. Refreshments will be served.
