This conductor was a jerk, he said he was Amish so we couldn't take his picture. At that point my friend zoomed in on him and took a picture. I have one question for him, if he is Amish, what the hell is he doing in a MODERN diesel engine?
The confederate flag was given to Willam Anderson whose company did repairs on the CSS Alabama. This flag is now at Bo-Kaap museum which also shows Islamic heritage in South Africa
Chicago, South Shore and South Bend freight 2000 and 2001 lead a mixed freight west past the Chicago/Gary Airport Station located on Clark Road in Gary, Indiana on May 31, 2025.
CSS 2000 and 2001, GP38-2s, were built for the South Shore in January of 1981.

Chicago South Shore & South Bend Railroad Pullman-built 14 at Randolph Street Station in Chicago, Illinois on an unknown day in February 1982, Ektachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 14 was built by Pullman Car and Manufacturing Company in 1926. It was rebuilt in 1942 along with number 15, the beginning of a rebuilding program that encompassed 33 cars ( I believe ). The rebuilding process added 17 feet to the middle of what was a 60 foot car. Some of the later rebuilt cars also received air-conditioning and sealed picture windows.
