Command Sgt. Maj. Latosha Ravenell, the incoming Command Sergeant Major for the Marketing & Engagement Brigade, visited the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit the past couple of days. Getting to see the unit and meet the Soldiers is the best way for leaders to understand the unit's mission, needs and challenges.
Leaders from across 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, bid farewell to Command Sgt. Maj. Fortenberry, the 2BCT senior noncommissioned officer, February 20, 2019, in Watertown, New York. Fortenberry returned early from deployment in Afghanistan with the Commando Brigade's forward element, Task Force Courage, to assume his new duty position in Fort Benning, Georgia.

Sgt. 1st Class Lamont Lang, Devils Lake, N.D., a machinist at the North Dakota Army National Guard’s Combined Support Maintenance Shop (CSMS), uses a magnetic drill press while repairing one of twelve Fairlead beam for the aircraft assigned to the Minot Air Force Base, Minot N.D. Fairlead beams are an aircraft arresting system which prevents aircraft from overrunning runways. The CSMS, located at the Camp Grafton Training Center near Devils Lake, was named a semi-finalist for the Department of the Army’s 2013 Chief of Staff, Army Award for Maintenance Excellence (AAME).
