Apollo command and service module CSM-119. It was made for the Skylab Rescue mission and can hold five astronauts: two to operate it, and three from Skylab. Before launch and after landing, astronauts would enter and exit through an opening that is facing upward as presented. The hatch to this opening is missing from this display now, but used to be present in the open position.
I used 32 exposures to make this in an attempt to capture as much fine detail as possible.

Command Sgt. Maj. Alberto Delgado speaks to local media about the dedication of the Veterans Memorial Park of Jackson County and the importance of recognizing local veterans for their service.
This landscape project coincided with the polar vortex in Chicago which is where my thinking began. I found images of buildings that were covered in sheets of ice after having been saved from fire - what struck me about the images was their beauty, the ice was the visual reminder that it had been saved. I liked the fact that people are forced to appreciate it there and then, as the ice will melt imminently. I have since been attracted to the idea that our landscapes, particularly natural, do not get the respect that they deserve, especially here in Britain. This idea has branched off into the fragility of nature which has been highlighted by my work with a varying combination of water, inks, oil, food colouring and lemon juice to create abstract landscapes in wine glasses that exist momentarily. Said techniques have led me to artists such as Ruslan Khasanov and Mark Mawson who appear to study the effects of mixing liquids to create artwork. Another technique I was using was mixing together paint, water, and glue, and mixing different colours together to create very abstract landscapes, highlighting the wonderful colours that we are presented with each day, taking the landscape down to basics. I looked into artists Matt Andres and Sharmistha Dutta, both of whom use a paint in a liberal, abstract way. Matt Andres particularly made me think about the possibilities there are when using paint and other liquids in this fashion.
