United States Army Garrison Italy bade farewell to Command Sgt. Maj. Mason L. Bryant and welcomed Command Sgt. Maj. Billy S. Vetten in a May 29 change of responsibility ceremony at the fitness center on Caserma Ederle.
The change of responsibility ceremony honors both the departing command sergeant major and officially recognizes the incoming command sergeant major as the senior noncommissioned officer of the command.

Leaders from across 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, bid farewell to Command Sgt. Maj. Fortenberry, the 2BCT senior noncommissioned officer, February 20, 2019, in Watertown, New York. Fortenberry returned early from deployment in Afghanistan with the Commando Brigade's forward element, Task Force Courage, to assume his new duty position in Fort Benning, Georgia.

Soldiers assigned to Company A, 6th Battalion, 1st Battalion Training Group (Airborne), United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School swim across Mott Lake with their equipment in tow on Sept. 18, 2014, as part of the 6th Battalion Command Sergeant Major Challenge. The CSM Challenge was an endurance race. During the swim across Mott Lake, teams had to tow their equipment in waterproof bags, some competitors used multiple trash bags tightly tied to prevent their equipment from getting wet.

KENNESAW, Ga., Sept. 30, 2017 – Georgia Army National Guard Command Sgt. Major Jason York carries the regimental colors of the 122nd Regional Training Institute during the sixth annual Assault on Kennesaw Mountain 5K. The run takes place at the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park and commemorates the 42 Georgia Army National Guard Soldiers lost during the Global War on Terrorism from 2001 to present.
