United States Army Garrison Italy bade farewell to Command Sgt. Maj. Mason L. Bryant and welcomed Command Sgt. Maj. Billy S. Vetten in a May 29 change of responsibility ceremony at the fitness center on Caserma Ederle.

The change of responsibility ceremony honors both the departing command sergeant major and officially recognizes the incoming command sergeant major as the senior noncommissioned officer of the command.

Leaders from across 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, bid farewell to Command Sgt. Maj. Fortenberry, the 2BCT senior noncommissioned officer, February 20, 2019, in Watertown, New York. Fortenberry returned early from deployment in Afghanistan with the Commando Brigade's forward element, Task Force Courage, to assume his new duty position in Fort Benning, Georgia.

RALEIGH, N.C. – The North Carolina National Guard honored 27-year military veteran Command Sgt. Maj. Guilford Johnson at a retirement ceremony held at N.C. Guard's Joint Force Headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina, July 20, 2018. Command Sgt. Maj. Johnson has served in every enlisted leadership position, from detachment to brigade level, culminating his career as the Command Sergeant Major of the 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team.

 

After retiring from military service Johnson will continue his service to our veterans through his new role as Operations Manager with the Bronze Star Homes, an organization that builds modular ramps with universal access to support our veterans and community.
