This piece is the anomaly of my final pieces, but personally I think it’s the one that embodies the idea of psychopathy more succinctly. The vibrancy of the colours and the bold contrasts aim to inform the viewer that there is something unhinged in the figure depicted. The piece was initially meant to symbolise the psychopathic high-powered culture that influences our lives so heavily, but the hypnotised eye suggests a significant link between the psychopaths and those whom they govern, as the psychopaths aren’t the ones being hypnotised, we are. Also, this piece addresses the urgency of this issue, and how prevalent it is in our society and consequently all of our lives.

Even more, I miss Rory, the senior technician there, who died 3 years ago today, April 29, 2005.

An aerial shot of a landscape created in a wine glass from water and drawing ink, creating more a map rather than an individual landscape. This short shows more of an overview of the colours we are presented with globally, branching this idea out, as it is not only England that often fails in appreciated the environment that we live in.
