Command Module CSM-119 was originally slated as a Skylab "Rescue" vehicle. It would have been stacked on top of the Saturn 1B Rocket displayed in the Rocket Garden at the KSC Visitors Center and used to rescue a Skylab Crew if needed.

A few weeks before this visit we passed by this factory and stopped to have a look. All the high security that we had encountered on our visit a year ago was gone. We could just walk in.
Work has begon in the factory itself - all the machines on the first floor have been pulled out already.
So on a sunday morning a took a train and a bus and a paid a last visit to this beautiful location.
