Week 9, Summer Season 2012

Taken in Onslow County NC.

The most beautiful CSA box we've received this year - radishes, purple and Italian basil, pattypan summer squash, tomatoes, green bell peppers, eggplant, onions, kale

Some of those roots must be three inches long. Huge.

Oh dear god, it's more spring onions. But! More strawberries, which is also good. Plus lettuce, broccoli, and a cute little basil plant.

From our first CSA box of the season!

CSA Rec+ soccer, Freedman vs. Clow, May 5, 2013.

from dow farm, standish

As always the women outweeded the men in the garlic row...Marc and Rob's excuse? They were talking about deep and heavy topics of real significance. Topics were sure to include such items as coke vs. pepsi or butter-side up or down.

CSA Rec+ soccer, Clow vs. Kelsey, April 6, 2013.

red & green lettuce, green beans, fennel, celery, red pepper medley, carrots, red potatoes, leeks, green tomatoes, Italian parsley

first week of our 30-week subscription. lots of non-plant stuff since it's been cold and things aren't exactly growing yet!

apple cider

5# potatoes

dozen free range eggs

1# grass fed cheddar

bag salad mix

couple of sprigs rosemary

**OOPS - forgot to include but we also got a potted parsley plant.

Week three of our farm share.

We also got lots of mint. :)

Why, it must be time for another week of "What's in Greg's CSA?" so without further adieu... Peaches! Doughnut peaches! Plums! Green beans! Cabbage! Yellow squash! Zucchini! (Ok, getting a little tired of the last two...)

distribution at St. John's Cathedral

Whoops, forgot to post this...this is last week's share. Not pictured is a huge bag of plums and peaches. Also I'm pretty sure I left a bunch of other veggies out...oh yeah, like 8 ears of corn.
