It's apparently pint box day today. A pint of tomatoes +4, a pint of peaches, a pint of red onions, 2 cucumber, a ... strand, I guess, of Mizuna lettuce, a bunch of basil, 3 summer squash, a bunch of thyme, and 3 ears of corn. We were supposed to get tomatillos, but they hadn't arrived by the time I got there. They were just arriving as I left. The corn is in place of them, or the cukes, I forget.
I had made some compound butter (softened butter mixed with salt, pepper, cayenne, and oregano) for grilled corn yesterday. Today, I put it on toast and topped it with sliced, small heriloom tomatoes.
was missing the bewise tomatoes for a while, but now loving the inland empire greenage. and look how much more foods you get in comparison: www.flickr.com/photos/grotbags/2577684833/
