Semporna - Pulau Mabul Experience

I love how the setting sun casts its warm glow on the mountain in the background.

The Perhentian Islands (Pulau Perhentian in Malay) lie approximately 10 nautical miles (19 km) offshore the coast of northeastern Malaysia in the state of Terengganu, approximately 40 miles (64 km) south of the Thai border.

The two main islands are Perhentian Besar ("Big Perhentian") and Perhentian Kecil ("Small Perhentian"). The small, uninhabited islands of Susu Dara (Virgin Milk), Seringgi and Rawa lie off Kecil. The Perhentians belong to Pulau Redang National Marine Park,

Crystal clear, frozen Lake Winnipesaukee with stress cracks and an ice shantie.

Reiner Thiele, geb. xx.xx.1940, gest. xx.xx.1971, SV-Tauchsportgruppe".

Das Kreuz ist das beliebteste und das bekannteste Foto-Motiv aus dem See. In der auch sonst sehr mystischen Stimmung des Sees ist dieser Platz der Höhepunkt.

In the back part of the lake Sameranger you can find this stone cross in a depth of approx. 8,5 meters (~27,9 ft.). It was placed there as a memorial for a dead diver. The plate in front of the cross says: "Reminding our shared diving experiences. Reiner Thiele, born xx.xx.1940, died xx.xx.1971, SV-Tauchsportgruppe".

This cross is the most favored and the most popular photo-motive of the lake. In the mystic mood of the lake this place is definitely the highlight.

A diver in the lake Sameranger, a crystal-clear mountain lake in Tyrol, Austria. In the past several avalanches have brought countless tree trunks in the lake. Here in the foreground you can see the limbs of a tree, which is completely covered by Algae. In the background you can also see the trees at the lakeside.

Depth: camera approx. 10m (~33 ft.), diver approx. 7m (~23 ft.).

Paint and membrane cast progress on the Fifield Monster head sculpt - CGIVersion - Prometheus 1:18 scale. The membrane, cast using smooth-on crystal clear 300 hasn't fully cured yet so additional images will be taken once it hardens and I can add additional paint work to it. It was tricky but I think the initial pull came out good smile emoticon More to come! ‪#‎alien‬ ‪#‎prometheus‬ ‪#‎fifield‬ ‪#‎fifieldmonster‬ ‪#‎smoothon‬ ‪#‎crystalclear‬ ‪#‎painting‬

In the crystal clear lake Sameranger at the Fernpass in Tyrol you can find the "Eye of Tyrol" in a depth of approx. 7 - 8 meters. At the end of a long, straight tree trunk the wood shapes a closed "O". Besides the stone cross this is the most famous subject for photographing in this beautiful lake.

Fishing in the Chilliwack River, the water is so clear and the area still feels a little wild.

"Pupu Springs" is a shortcut for "Te Waikoropupu Springs", which is a holy Maori place in Golden Bay, NZ. the water's so clear!! so inviting to jump in or to wash your face and drink...but since it's a holy spring, you can't do any of these. just look and marvel.

2 weeks ago i decided to travel to Ireland again on Sep. for 3 weeks this time. i bought the Lonely Planet Ireland guide and i received it today by mail. but unfortunately, i would have to postpone Ireland for next year, because i wouldn't be able to take a 3 weeks leave from work :( they allow only one week. so i'm really bummed about this. but i might just go for a week somewhere else. i'm thinking about Portugal or Italy or Croatia. so many place to visit, so little time. i'm also applying for a Student Exchange program in Venice, Italy, and if i'll be admitted to this program, i'll spend 3 months in Venice! so, wish me luck :)
