Los Roques, Venezuela
The Los Roques islands are a federal dependency of Venezuela, consisting of about 350 islands, cays or islets. The archipelago is an atoll located 80 miles (128 km) directly north of the port of La Guaira, and is a 40-minute flight from Caracas. Being almost an untouched coral reef, it attracts many visitors, especially from Europe, some of which come in their own yachts and anchor in the inner, protected shallow waters. However, development and tourism are controlled.
Because of the wide variety of seabirds and rich aquatic life, the Venezuelan government declared Los Roques a National Park in 1972.
It is scarcely populated, having about 1,500 permanent inhabitants; however it receives approximately 70,000 visitors a year, many of them day-visitors who come from Caracas and the mainland. The most important island is El Gran Roque ("the big rock"). It is the only populated island in the group and has an airport suitable for small or STOL aircraft, Los Roques Airport, with freshly repaved RWY 07/25 (1000 x 26 meters). The airport is controlled from the Maiquetía airport on the mainland. Other important islands are Francisqui, Nordisqui, Madrisqui and Crasqui.
Activities include fishing (bonefish, barracuda, tarpon, jack (Carangidae) and Spanish mackerel), birding, snorkling, diving, kite-surfing and there is a sea turtle research center located on El Gran Roque. Accommodations include Pez Raton Lodge, a property primarily used to host fishing guests, and Posada Mediterraneo, a 5-room inn which accommodates non-fishing guests.

Tiene una superficie aproximada de 221.120 hectáreas entre marítimos y terrestes, y es considerado el parque marino más grande de América Latina.

The sky was just starting to show its true colours, and it was amazing, blue, aqua, orange.
Again we were just sitting by the beach chilling, beer in one hand, camera on the other.
If you follow the hiking trail to Miyanohama from Tsurihama, you will get to see the real blue of Miyanohama from the top. It is amazingly clear and you can see the bottom and the fishes from outside the water.

This is the place for a real break, far removed from the bustle of modern life, on a beautiful island, full of tropical greenery, surrounded by a fabulous lagoon, perfect for swimming and snorkelling and close to the Maldives’ best dive sites.

Kekova, Antalya, Turkey
Kekova, also named Caravola (Lycian: Dolichiste), is a small Turkish island near Kaş which faces the villages of Kaleköy (ancient Simena) and Üçağız (ancient Teimioussa). Kekova has an area of 4.5 km² and is uninhabited.
On its northern side there are the partly sunken ruins of Dolchiste/Dolikisthe, an ancient town which was destroyed by an earthquake during the 2nd century. Rebuilt and still flourishing during the Byzantine Empire period, it was finally abandoned because of Arab incursions.
The Kekova region was declared a specially protected area on 18 January 1990 by Turkish Ministry of Environment and Forest. All kinds of diving and swimming were prohibited and subject to special permits from governmental offices. In later years the prohibition has been lifted except for the part where the sunken city is.

Clear blue skies of late fall get reflected off the crystal clear pure waters of Lake Margaret.
The level of the water in the lake is actually higher than the surrounding valleys. But the waters have been dammed by impermeable rocks on all sides.
Old school "photographers" might scoff at the V-shaped symmetry in the reflection. But this is what looks good to me and that's all that matters!
