#13 The Beaches Cottage, in the historic district of Crystal Cove State Park. It was so named because some scenes from the 1988 move "Beaches" with Bette Middler and Barbara Hershey were filmed here. The scenes are near the end of the movie when CC and Hillary spend the summer at a beach house. Not so long ago a bluff behind the cottage had partially destroyed the cottage but it has been beautifully restored and the protected from the bluff.

Lovely seeing Crystal again for the second time, i love the looks we chose for her, especially the last one with the long blonde hair and purple dress!

There was a stall at an Octoberfest event that sold these hanging crystal ball things. Made an interesting shot I think.

The next boat under construction by Macduff Shipyards at Buckie will be Crystal River. This steel work will be where the nets are laid out and hauled back in. Operating as a pair trawler the current Crystal River was built in 1985 so is probably due for replacing.

The Crystal Palace Subway was built in 1865 by a team of Italian Cathedral craftsmen in a strong Byzantine style. It was designed to give first class rail passengers arriving for Crystal Palace a suitable exotic passageway to match the splendour of the station and the Palace. People would emerge from the subway right in front of the huge glass Crystal Palace.

However when the Palace was destroyed by fire in 1936, its use came to an abrupt end. It was used as an air raid shelter during the war, but apart from that was left alone , even when they demolished the station and railway in 1961. Now The Friends of Crystal Palace Subway initiative are working with Bromley and Southwark councils to repair and maintain it, so that it can be admired once again by the public. This was a London Open House event and was a real privilege to see.

What are you going to have on your wish list(photography-wise)?

Instead of having the vision of Ansel Adams, the time to shoot all day, photogenic people hanging around at my doorstep, moving to Yosemite(and other awesome places), I'm just gonna wish for:

the entire Nikon, Canon and Leica systems+ Zeiss glass(sorry Pentax, Sony & Olympus :P)

Yeah, I'm shallow. Whatever.

Tongue in cheek of course LOL

I'll ask the Crystal ball, "How do I get rid of my Ghost?"

Crystal Springs Preserve is in Zephyrhills, FL. It was once open to the public to visit but has had entry restricted to groups and booked events for some time in order to preserve the spring and grounds. In addition to the namesake springs group, the preserve features an enjoyable boardwalk and views of the Hillsborough River.

This shot shows the Hillsborough River immediately before its confluence with the spring run. The river in this stage is in its infancy, being roughly the size of a forest creek, before rapidly expanding upon merging with Crystal Springs. The river is a blackwater river, taking its color from the tannin in the leaves surrounding its swampy floodplain, but since Crystal Springs provides such a dramatic increase in the flow this can lead to varying levels of clarity and different hues in times of low water.

Crystal Palace's Jerry Murphy, SHOOT football magazine photograph.

Jerry Murphy started out with Terry Venables' Crystal Palace, spending nine years at Selhurst Park during which time he won the FA Youth Cup in both 1977 and 1978 as part of the famous Team of the Eighties. The club were then promoted to the First Division in Murphy's first full season in the side, but were relegated after two seasons in the top flight. However, Murphy remained with Palace winning the Player of the Year award in 1983.

He moved back to the top flight again, joining Chelsea on a free transfer in the summer of 1985, but his time at Stamford Bridge was plagued by lack of form and injury problems. In three seasons he made only 34 league appearances and his contract was cancelled due to injury in March 1988. He joined non-league side Fisher Athletic to finish his career.
