Breathtaking rock formations at Ponta da Piedade in Lagos, Algarve, Portugal. The crystal-clear water and impressive cliffs create an unforgettable landscape.

The crystal clear waters and pristine waterfalls of this freshwater creek are ideal for a refreshing swim. The mountain water cascades under a picturesque heritage-listed stone arch bridge built in the 1930s depression. It's bridge is a popular place amongst the Townsville locals on the weekend.

Just above the bridge as some very spectacular waterfalls. It's also the most popular place in Little Crystal Creek and for good reasons. A perfect place to escape the summer heat by having a quick dip in refreshingly cool water. The rain forest has a good canopy so the vegetation isn't too dense.

Mount Spec Road and Little Crystal Creek Bridge is a heritage-listed road from Mutarnee to Paluma with a bridge over Little Crystal Creek at Crystal Creek, City of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. The bridge is 61 kilometres (38 mi) north of Townsville and provides access to the Paluma Range National Park. The road and the bridge were constructed between 1930 and 1936 under the Unemployment Relief Scheme during the Great Depression. They were added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 30 October 2008.

So I took this picture while messing around with lighting and I got some really weird shadows on it. I had to edit them until i finally got this. It was a challenge and I'm considering retaking the photo.

I had the pleasure of photographing Leslie & Steve’s wedding in Grainau in the heart of the Bavarian Alps.

Leslie and I are military ‘brats’ (dependents) who grew up on bases worldwide. Plus, with her and Steve both being active duty in the US Army how could I resist being a part of their wedding day!

Their wedding venue, the Eibsee Hotel, sits along the crystal clear lake Eibsee that is under the highest mountain in Germany, the Zugspitze.

Though cloudy and rainy most of the day, the intermittent showers did hold off long enough to allow the sun to break through. With an Alpine panoramic around us, and basked in the warmth of the sunlight, it was a beautiful ceremony led by a chaplain from the nearby military base.

After the ceremony, and group pictures & portraits, the couple enjoyed some light fare with drinks before it was time for our guests to take in a boat ride. Steve opted to take Leslie out in a rowboat to enjoy some quiet time with his beautiful bride. One of my favorite images from their wedding day are the two of them enjoying the quiet time together under the towering Alps.

With a storm blowing in, we headed inside the hotel for an evening of toasts, dinner & dancing. Normally the bride & groom take leave of their guests via a rowboat with flying wishes, but the evening rain and the choppy waters nixed that idea. Instead, Leslie & Steve were sent off with hugs and kisses from family & friends under the light of sparklers.

Winter can certainly have its periods of great beauty, but for the most part its a lot of cloudy gray skies and cold. So when I spied these cold crystal clear Winter skies on 11 January 2021 I jumped at the chance to photograph some familiar constellations framed with the bare bones of some large Poplar Trees in my back yard. Featured prominently in several of these photos is Orion and the Pleiades

The front lights are perfectly clear.
