Crystal clear water teeming with life. Try and spot a couple of small fishes in the stream as well as the submerged roots. Certain riparian trees with specialized roots have evolved to have underwater roots submerged in water all the time.

This is one of the displays in the Houston Museum of Natural Science. I personally enjoy the Cockrell Butterfly Center most of all but next to that is gems & minerals that I like best. If you visit Houston you really need to visit HMNS. The new disosaur display is really very artistic and I enjoyed it far more in the new environment.

 

This day we went along with our older daughter and her daughter. It's always fun to watch the interaction between the two. A bittersweet day though, I got the call that my sister was in ICU that day while we were there. I'm okay with it now but truly, it just makes me so angry.
