Crossroads Center, formerly the Bloomington-Normal Factory Stores. Perhaps the worst outlet mall in history. Completed in 2 phases in 1995. It had some of usual outlet stores, Nike, Bass Shoes, VF Outlet. But never had the big upscale outlet draws. Located at I-55/74 and Market St Illinois 9, it is on the opposite side of town from Veterans Parkway, the main retail strip in Bloomington/Normal. The mall itself has two building surrounding the parking lot, making it look like a giant square. However the main opening is on a hard to get to frontage road while the easier entrance on Wylie Dr is a narrow driveway that barely squeezes between the mall buildings. Located on a hill next to I-55/74, you can barely see the mall from the interstate; only the outer store on the south building.Place was never more than half full. While cycling to St Peter's Hospital, I perfectly timed (by pure luck) going past Six Crossroads Roundabout with Abellio Surrey 8089 (KV03 ZFR) going by on a 459, running 17 minutes late.
I'd got shots of the 426 and 472 here, prior to their withdrawal as part of phase 1 of Surrey CC's bus review, but had never gone for the replacements 459 and 557, primarily as you look like a right idiot standing here waiting for them to turn up!
UPDATE 05/04/14: An Abellio Surrey network review effective 5th April 2014 saw the 446 reduced to hourly, and - to maintain service levels through Sheerwater - the 459 diverted after Woodham Victoria via Sheerwater Road, Albert Drive and through Sheerwater to Woking, rather than the rest of Woodham Lane, Six Crossroads Roundabout, Shores Road, Kettlewell Hill and Chobham Road to Woking. (As such, this photo is now in my the appropriate 'Abellio network review' set, even though it's taken years before the changes, as it's my only shot of a 459 here.) A new two hourly service numbered 592, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays only, run by Carlone Buses, was started to replace the 'lost' bits of the 459.

Wherever I see lines crossing I can't help thinking of.. crossroads, and a particular tune always comes to mind: the Robert Johnson blues of that name - as played by Eric Clapton.
