While Atlanta, GA has it's cows, Asheville has it's pigs. This is part of a sculpture called Crossroads at the base of Vance Monument in Pack Square. Although some animals were missing when I visited, the complete set includes turkeys and a piglet. This Crossroads sculpture is in honour of the livestock drives that passed through Asheville on their way from Tennessee down to Greenville, Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina.

Drune: Crossroads is a mix between the East of Eden and 2019-XS versions of Drune. The streets are tighter, the buildings are taller, and there are more interiors to explore! Think of it as a Drune's Greatest Hits, with locations from several previous Drunes returning. It's the classic aesthetic of Drune everyone loves.
Also, I am running a new photo contest with a 10k grand prize. Info here: www.flickr.com/photos/sparklebottom/50681047552/

A view out in to the new interior of Crossroads. They are now in Kemang after moving from Dharmawangsa Square. The old place had two levels and I guess I have a nostalgic liking for the how it was before... but nothing wrong with it now...
A different view of the iconic "Crossroads" spire at Hollwood Studios. We signed up for the Fantasmic Dinner Package at the Brown Derby and when dinner was over they sent us to the theater through this area that's not normally open to the public. It wasn't too scenic for the most part, but it did offer this cool photo op.

So here I am at the Crossroads in Clarksdale, Mississippi where Highway 61crosses Highway 49. And this time the shot of the sign is mine :-)
Many legendary blues artists lived and worked in the cotton plantations around Clarksdale, while many others passed through the town to meet up with other musicians and to play gigs in in the juke joints around the vicinity. To name just a few: Son House, Bessie Smith, Robert Johnson, Willie Brown, Sonny Boy Williamson 11, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Robert Nighthawk & Ike Turner.
Even today there are some great local blues artists associated with Clarksdale ... those that I am aware of include 70 year old Robert Belfour (whom I listened to performing live in a small juke joint and met personally), Big T (whom I saw on stage at Ground Zero), Josh 'Razorblade' Stewart (who gave me a lift in his car back to my hotel one evening) and Super Chikan, and a lot more who visit to play at the local festivals and clubs.
So now now here's Robert Johnson singing Crossroad Blues
And since I was an Englishman visiting Clarksdale here are two Englishmen and one Scot revisiting Robert Johnson's famous song: Cream singing Crossroads at the Royal Albert Hall, LOndon in 2005
The chapel at Crossroads Village, just outside of Flint. The green light gave it a sort of haunting appearance, which was appropriate for Halloween.
You are now at a crossroads. This is your opportunity to make the most important decision you will ever make. Forget your past. Who are you now? Who have you decided you really are now? Don't think about who you have been. Who are you now? Who have you decided to become? Make this decision consciously. Make it carefully. Make it powerfully.~ Anthony Robbins
Be entirely tolerant or not at all; follow the good path or the evil one. To stand at the crossroads requires more strength than you possess. ~ Heinrich Heine
