In Germany, we sometimes put the crib with baby Jesus under the Christmas tree. My sister built this herself.

Embroidery is available on the blanket, the short end of the crib bumpers or both places. On the blanket, embroidery is placed on one corner. On the bumpers, embroidery is centered both vertically and horizontally.

A soft Checkers Gold sheet lies atop a gathered Plaza Stripe dust ruffle with Pomeroy trim. A comfy patch blanket has all the fabrics and a flannel back.

“The cribs” are still there offshore. The huge log frames filled with rocks were the foundation for lumbering era docks. They can shelter fish, tear a hole in your boat, tell you a story.
Rotted traces of tie remains of the Lamb Lumber Company logging railway near Menzies Bay are still supported by what is left of the log cribbing 90 years after abandonment photographed on March 17, 2018.

The small village of Piódão is considered to be one of the most beautiful of Portugal.
Its typical houses built in schist and slate, with wooden windows painted in deep blue, are dispersed down the mountain, forming an amphitheatre, and its often named as a “Crib Village”.

The sun has risen 20 minutes before this interesting image lensed of a BNSF EMD powered west bound freight on the old Great Northern at Lone Tree, North Dakota on 09-05-2020. Lead diesel is BNSF 1927 a SD40-2 built as BN 7128. Helping is the BNSF 2957 a GP39-2 originally the ATSF 3703 built during April of 1980. The elevator shown is very typical of grain elevator construction during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The frame of the main portion was built by stacking flat and nailing 2x6 boards on top of each other to the desired storage height. This was called cribbed construction. The exterior was then covered in wood clap boards. As time went on and the clap board siding deteriorated, elevators were clad in metal (tin) siding as seen here. An awesome sky greets the trains crew as it approaches the next town at Berthold, North Dakota.
