I thought I had uploaded this photo, but I didn't. This photo was probably taken about 10 years ago.

It's True.... There IS Life at the Centre of the Cosmos !

The garden this year was, hmmm, carefree?

I let it be, letting the cosmos and zinnia spread where they might, letting the basil bolt, letting the garden basically have its way.

It was freeing (for all of us).

These are the last of the cosmos, cradled in our home, nestled in autumn light. I will carry them forward in my heart.

Late summer flowering Cosmos, or should that be autumn flowering Cosmos as it's now mid October. Anyway, a nice splash of colour in the flower beds is always welcome.

キバナコスモス(黄花コスモス)

Cosmos sulphureus

Cosmos is a member of the Compositae or Asteraceae family, just like their ‘cousins’: sunflowers, marigolds, yarrow, daisies, zinnias, lettuce and dandelions.

Cosmos are my go to for filling my gardens. They bloom all summer long and fill the garden with greenery.
