A straight-down view of a Cosmos flower bud. After the flower opens, the eight pointed green bracts remain visible from the underside of the flower.
This is the first blossom on our one remaining cosmos plant. It is at least six feet tall. Taken by Edgar.
Cosmos plants have great flowers but their leaves remind me of Rosemary (not the photographer, the herb). Quite photogenic.
