Pretty little Cosmos Bloom in a sea of green.

So far, all of the flowers have been white, which is unusual. Taken by Edgar.

Last year, I noticed a fascinating change in some of my cosmos flowers. I saved and replanted their seeds, and this year, the unique trait reappeared! Instead of the usual single row of petals, these cosmos have multiple layers, creating a fuller, almost ruffled look. Could they have cross-pollinated with my zinnias?
