This has been quite a weekend. Friday was... different; but survivable. Saturday night had moved along fairly quickly; but Sunday night was simply draining. It appears as though, none of the staff members from my nocturnal-shift have any control over their scheduled presence at the core unit. Everyone seems to be floated every other week. One of the few things that I had enjoyed while working at my hospital was working along side my usual core staff. That feeling had diminished in the last few months. I can't help but feel that something is terribly managed OR perhaps, there is a heedless consideration to the importance of a fully staffed unit.
Forgive my reproach, but expressing my opinion had certainly mended my griping thoughts.

So was I once myself a swinger of birches.
And so I dream of going back to be.
It's when I'm weary of considerations,
And life is too much like a pathless wood
Where your face burns and tickles with the cobwebs
Broken across it, and one eye is weeping
From a twig's having lashed across it open.
I'd like to get away from earth awhile
And then come back to it and begin over.

Mediobogdum Roman Fort Wall slightly rebuilt defending history and evoking mystery against a backdrop of towering majesty in Eskdale

This historic site needs no reflection to admire the work of our ancestors and of nature, but the reflections do add to my consideration and appreciation.
Evening approaches and the shadow slightly encroaches on your imagination building and extending possible former construction and stirring ideas of formal occupation and informal habitation. This fort is built near the mountain passes that vehicles struggle across. To see the well set stone amongst the transformed landscape is to be amongst living food for the soul. Well it is if you have your way of enjoying history.
The feelings so easily generated here give you an insight into the way we humans focus on an importance and build around it, but when our human systems change we walk away from our former focus and take away the resources we were investing. Then the historic value gives us focus renewed to map, to rebuild a little and to conserve the memory making place. The history of this one Roman Fort positioned along a trade route near the edge of a vast Empire still standing near the narrow single track byway that never attracted industrial traffic and road building tells us much about ourselves and human interest.
Mediobogdum Roman Fort on Hardknott Pass in the Lake District has some great slightly rebuilt ruins. The light on this evening was a splendid Sun bath and banquet lighting the way to older notions and even initiation upon a ladder of lights that illuminated all of the ways to become enlightened, ignited and rejoicing in the light. This remote mountain pass with amazing ruin is an almost unbelievable location to find history and to enjoy mystery.

With the steep streets comes also consideration for people who walk. Many of the streets had steps for pedestrians. I am not sure if it gets below zero in Dalat, but if you get ice, the hospitals would be busy. The mornings in February were quite frigid, so it is possible.

Way back in the day, diesels were first starting to take over, and the "Long Hood Forward" operation was used by almost every railroad at the time. This operation is when the long hood of the locomotive is the front rather than the short hood, and was used as both a safety consideration and because it was similar to how most steam locomotives were built. However, due to the lack of visibility, most railroads switched to short hood running by the time the second generation diesels were being built. A few railroads did continue to regularly use long hood as the main way of running, with the most famous examples being the Southern Railway and the Norfolk & Western. In the modern day, you can still see trains running long hood forward, though rare, it does happen under certain circumstances.
When the California Northern Railroad had received a gypsum train from the UP bound for Artois, the train was facing a problem heading south. Though the train originally had three motors when it left for California, with one of the motors facing east, the east facing locomotive was having problems. Specifically, the batteries weren't holding charge, and therefore the unit could not stay powered on. Although this unit was supposed to lead the return trip, it had to be dropped in Roseville so it could get repaired, and a replacement motor would not be picked up. Therefore, the train would arrive on California Northern with only two west facing motors, running on a line with only one fully intact wye. With the wye also being a multiple hour trip from the train's destination, that left turning the units around out of the picture. When it came time for the train to leave Artois, it was decided that the crew would run the 28 miles to Cortena long hood forward and then pick up a new lead motor that was tied down there. The trip would take a bit longer than usual though, as both of the units did not have rear ditch lights, meaning the train would be restricted to 20 mph. After picking up the new locomotive, a 3GS21B (genset), the train would be able to run at both track speed and not long hood forward.
In the photo, the gypsum is on the return trip as it passes by the Cortena siding. The train had only just cleared the north switch not even a minute prior, and would start to slow down as the genset that would be picked up was sitting at the south end of the siding. The train would be stopped for about a half hour before continuing with the new leader. After getting to the UP at Davis, the genset would be taken off and the UP power would be thrown around the wye before tying down for a UP crew to pick it up later that night.
Imagine you're in serious trouble and you need professional help. Luckily you've managed to connect with two of the best attorneys in your home state (wherever that may be) and they're hashing over the options for how to best represent you during your trial which starts tomorrow. Outside counsel comes to mind, and so a list of names is voiced and phone calls commence. All advice is taken into consideration and a plan for action is set forth; time to sleep on it.
The next day your morning starts before the sun rises; it's cold, and your trial lasts all day long and into the even colder blue evening. Lucky for you your "go-to" guys have done well and you have been exonerated!
What does this have to do with railroading? Nothing! Unless you can read between the lines.
Here's the real story: Falls Road RR train LB-1 busted through big drifts of snow while working east from Lockport, NY to Brockport. Now they're heading west on the outskirts of Fancher and spittin' a little snow along the way. By the end of this long cold day they'll have switched three customers on this roughly 40 mile stretch of track between Lockport and Brockport, NY.
VITTSKÖVLE castle, located a couple of miles south of Kristianstad in the province of Scania (Skåne), Sweden, is one of the best-preserved Renaissance castles in the Nordic region.
It has had medieval predecessors, but the current castle was built by Jens Brahe beginning in 1553. It is Scania's largest castle with about 100 rooms.
Placement and design were determined by defense considerations and the quadrangular brick castle was built on stilts in the sunken lands, provided with strong corner towers and surrounded by deep moats.
From the towers, you could reach all the walls with fire from the cannons, and in the top floor of the castle you can still see traces of the shooting gallery that used to run along the eaves.
The castle is closed to visitors, but the surrounding park is open.

During the Italian Renaissance, Venice gave birth to an artistic style known as the Venetian School (1450-1600 A.D) that placed importance reflected light and its impact on color. In contrast to the Florentine paintings from the same time period, which focused on linear form, Venetian paintings blended Byzantine and Gothic elements with subtle layering and blending techniques to apply color of a muted vibrancy to more closely mimic colors found in nature.
Color Vibrancy The richness in Venetian color reflected the wealth prominent in Venice during the Renaissance. The dark reds, brilliant blues and muted yellows used in the oil paintings of Venetian School artists such as Jacopo Bellini have both a deepness and transparency meant to reflect light and expose the shades of layered color. Often muted in tone, Venetian colors gradually softened throughout the Renaissance to replicate natural color rather than exaggerated hues.
Layering and Blending Unlike the Florentine masters who began masterpieces by focusing on the linear movement of a composition, the Venetian School artists would begin forming their work with shapes of color painted directly on the canvas. Shades of color were carefully layered and blended to create a subtle shift of hue and tone to define form in place of the severe lines notable in other style movements.
Shadows and Light, A careful consideration of light's impact on color is reflected in the work of the masters of the Venetian School period. Whereas other movements would mimic the actual color of a subject as a whole, Venetian colorists would incorporate the subtle shifts of hue caused by the reflected light on the subject with their unique layering and blending techniques. With the interplay of shadows and light across a subject, traditional Venetian color application suggests form without sharp edges, creating a difficult to achieve sense of depth and realism.

Yes ,I agree that one can find beauty even in the ugliest things but this doesn't mean that we need to focus only on them. Many "fellow photographers and artists" prefer to show only this ugly kind of beauty and they call it a style . Some others are using "artistic" ways to kill innocence and joy just because they have been taught that making everything to appear meaningless and dirty is "cool." Art is not only to provoke. Propaganda art has very often served the dark side. Provocation always serves a purpose and spreading negativity with the excuse of making art seems very suspicious. I am not able to judge the photographic skills of a person but I can tell if a photo causes me heavy feelings and if it helps evil to be spread. We need to be very carefull with what we post and what we fav, always taking in consideration the impact that they may have on a fresh untouched soul...

Kenting National Park was Taiwan's first national park. In 1977, for the purpose of alleviating environmental damage caused by farming and building in Kenting area, late president (then premier) Chiang Jing-Guo instructed that "preservation of natural resources and the ecosystem must be taken into consideration during construction practices; plans should be made to establish a national park in Kenting area".
Dazzling bright sunshine, azure blue seawater, clean shining sand beach…, This is Taiwan’s first national park-Kenting, renowned for its rich landscape of hills and water, abundant life, and natural resources for everyone’s enjoyment.
Kenting National Park is located at the southern tip of Taiwan. With warm climate, pleasant scenery, and easy access, it is one of the most popular resorts, attracting millions of both domestic and foreign tourists every year.
A pleasant valley of the meandering Muráň river south of Jelšava has a significant landmark. You cannot overlook the strategically interesting hill above the village of Šivetice, on which a brick Romanesque church dedicated to St. Margaret of Antioch was built in the middle of the 13th century. Šivetice belonged to the Jelšava estate back then and from the 15th century on was administered by the Castle of Muráň. In the past, the village was known for its typical ceramics.
The church has the shape of a rotunda with an internal diameter of 11 m and is one of the largest structures with circular footprint in Central Europe. In addition to the primary sacral significance, it is assumed that the rotunda originally served as a watchtower, taking into consideration its location on a hill and its proximity of a castle (that no longer exists). During the 14th century, the interior of the church was divided into a nave and a chancel by a monumental pointed triumphal arch. Original Romanesque murals depicting scenes from the legend of St. Margaret were covered by gothic paintings with the same theme and complemented with scenes of the Passion Cycle. Like many other Gemer temples, the rotunda of Šivetice belonged in the 17th century to the Evangelical Lutheran church. In the 18th century, the church was partially rebuilt into Baroque style and the bell tower with the entrance gate was inserted into the stone wall. A cemetery is surrounding the church nowadays.

The portmanteau neologism of trading globally and marketing with consideration for local customs. Even globalists acknowledge the need for taken into account local cultures. Before those indigenous cultures get subsumed. In a world obsessed by the diversity buzzword it's somewhat ironic that so many high streets no resemble each other no matter where one looks in the western world.
In other news, I recently gave up all fizzy soft drinks (full fat and diet versions) with the result of feeling better and having lost some weight (still a long way to go on that second count).
Of course I recognize feeling better is so subjective. I also recognize that the weight loss may be:
a) uniquely related to this abstinence;
b) principally related to this abstinence;
c) only partially related to this abstinence;
or d) entirely coincidental.

Guacamole is made from avocados, tomatoes and onions and sometimes contains other ingredients as well, including lime juice, garlic, Serrano or jalapeno peppers and cilantro. These are all healthy ingredients, making the dip healthy as long as you consume it in moderation and take food safety issues into consideration.
When I took this shot I didn't really put too much thought or consideration into it. I had already taken some nice shots before this one, and perhaps I was subconsciously calling it a day..... And knowing that there was a hot coffee waiting for me back at the car wasn't helping either!
Looking back at the shots I took that morning I do think this one is the best. I wish Id spent more time there. Oh well, always next time!

The Daylight Building was constructed in 1926-27 by local real estate developer Benjamin Howard Sprankle. It was one of seven or eight buildings constructed by Sprankle along a two block distance of Union Avenue in Downtown Knoxville. The Daylight Building was used for commercial and office space. The two story, brick building features a decorative metal canopy and original multi-pane metal windows. The interior has a large open space on the first floor and a double-loaded corridor with offices on the second floor. Initially, it housed the studio of prominent photographer Robin Thompson. However, by 1934, the Daylight Building was primarily occupied by offices of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) where it served as the initial headquarters for the TVA Engineering Staff, Training & Education programs, and Soil Erosion & Reforestation offices. The Engineering Staff remained in the Daylight Building for much of the first fifty years of TVA's history after it was established by Congress in 1933 as part of President Roosevelt's "New Deal" program during the Great Depression. The purpose of the Tennessee Valley Authority, as set out in the act, was "to improve the navigability and to provide for the flood control of the Tennessee River; to provide for reforestation and the proper use of marginal lands in the Tennessee Valley; to provide for the agricultural and industrial development of said valley; to provide for the National defense." From the Daylight Building came the oversight and design for many of the dams and power plants constructed by TVA, as well as their land reclamation efforts, all of which changed the face of the Tennessee Valley. By the mid-1990's, TVA had finally consolidated its Executive and Engineering Offices in two buildings at the north end of Market Square in Downtown Knoxville. The Daylight Building has never been completely filled since that time and retains much of the interior configuration and materials that were associated with TVA's tenure with the building.
The Daylight Building was nominated to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) under Criterion A for its association with government (specifically with the Tennessee Valley Authority) and its retained architecture. On November 25, 2009, it was added to the NRHP list and all the information above was found on the original documents submitted for listing consideration found here: npgallery.nps.gov/NRHP/AssetDetail/ac042913-7702-4eb6-b36...

With no consideration, no pity, no shame,
they have built walls around me, thick and high.
And now I sit here feeling hopeless.
I can’t think of anything else: this fate gnaws my mind—
because I had so much to do outside.
When they were building the walls, how could I not have noticed!
But I never heard the builders, not a sound.
Imperceptibly they have closed me off from the outside world.
