The war memorial at Freshwater West, Pembrokeshire. The Celtic Cross was put in place to remember those from the local area who had died or gone missing during WW1. It will soon be time across the UK to remember those who gave their lives in conflicts across the globe. Be sure to spare a minute..

Roadside Begging Coyote on Panamint Valley Road. These always cause a morality conflict for me - it's sad to see, especially when they have the youngsters out there learning to live like this also, but how else are you going to be within 20 -30 feet of a Coyote for as long as you want? We never feed them, but obviously plenty of folks do or they wouldn't be doing this.

Thanks for viewing, faves and comments!

he does this often, just sits and waits. a lot of dogs don't understand that he's all peaceful and they approach warily. better safe than sorry. so much to learn from his conflict prevention habits. :-)

Quite often when on Easterly landings and when Mildenhall is less busy, F-15's will directly overfly on long finals for Lakenheath which is located only some 5 miles to the North

Intriguingly the main Runway headings conflict with Mildenhall on 11/29 and Lakenheath on 06/24

He noted that “[ Zen] can shine through this or that system, religious or irreligious, just as light can shine through glass that is blue, or green, or red, or yellow.” 47 This understanding of the nature of Zen led Merton not only to a deep affinity for Buddhism but to the discovery of the possibility of Buddhist-Christian dialogue at a deeper spiritual level.

In a letter to Graham, Merton wrote, “I liked the book so much . . . [Zen] is actually a life-saver for many people, here at the exhausted end of an era in which thinking has been dominated by Cartesianism, Kant and so on.” 49 Both Merton and Graham saw that Zen was not in conflict with the Catholic faith, and they encouraged Christians to explore Zen for their spiritual growth.

"I'm a paradox. I want to be happy, but I think of things that make me sad. I'm lazy, yet ambitious. I don't generally like myself, but I also love who I am. I say I don't care, but I really do. I crave attention, but reject it when it comes my way. I'm a conflicted contradiction. If I can't figure myself out, there's no way anyone else has either." -Unknown.

A photo from todays more subdued morning in contrary to blazing bright starts I have had of late. The heat has been too much for me with very little escape. It rarely gets this hot at home and if it did I have a cold house to retreat into. With its big rooms with high ceilings and very little direct sunlight its freezing in the winter easily fixed with donning extra layers and stays cool in the summer. Oscar hated the heat I would always look for cool tiles to lie on, where Toby would seek out hot spots as the sun found entrance through a window and covet that warm patch on the carpet. In the summer he would be forever in the garden room at the back of the house where he would lie until panting with the heat. I would be always telling him to move fearing heat exhaustion, he would move only to get a drink and would be straight back in his hot spot. I’m of course still missing my dogs dearly but I have conflicting feelings about getting another, partly in memory of Toby and Oscar and partly because we move around so much with the family being scattered and it’s easier to travel without worrying about the dogs wellbeing. The question is how long can I walk alone.

Fotografie digital bearbeitet.

Im Prozess der digitalen Bearbeitung gesehen, dass ich auf einem positiven Weg bin.

Am Ende ein digital gemaltes Makro Crypto-Art Bild entstanden, mit dem ich zufrieden bin.

Street art / graffiti in a row

Jörg Schubert / Gallery MakersPlace Artists

While photographing the weekly theme „in a row“ from the Flickr macro group Macro Mondays, the attractive wooden beads came to mind.

I thought that would be another attractive motif for a street art picture.

The problem arose of presenting the wooden beads in an exciting way.

Tried different positions, sections and distances to the wooden beads. Then photographed the wooden beads in focus / out of focus.

Then the conflict of the representation of the photograph. Depicted wooden beads in color or in black and white.

Photograph digitally processed.

Seen in the process of digital editing that I’m on a positive path.

In the end, a digitally painted macro Crypto-Art picture was created, with which I am satisfied.

I figured I'd switch it up today, and post some new imagery. I usually let stuff sit a bit before I post but today I felt like seeing some green since spring is amongst us.

What I find intersting about this particular scene is that you have a combination of vibrant spring greens, with snowy foothills/mountains in the background. It's like mother nature was confused at the time. The conditions make for a unique scene with special conditons.

Special thanks to my buddy JoJo B. for being my tour guide. Thanks man, much appreciated.

Everyone talking at once

Brothers in arms are men who serve together in a conflict, especially war. By extension, brothers in arms are also men who share a very close, strong relationship.

Day Seventy-One: February 21st, 2007.

Suffering from conflicting thoughts. I'm awakened by a dream at 4:00am. A dream about someone I shouldn't really be dreaming about. I don't know why I am. Especially now.

I guess I've been having conflicting thoughts about her lately but I haven't said anything. Because I know she's clear in her thinking. And I have the sneaky suspicion that the thoughts I'm having are more about me just being lonely than anything else. So it probably really isn't about her. Probably.

Conversations with friends later on cement it in my head. They are just passing thoughts and they'll go away. It's not worth pursuing or mentioning.

Good.

Potential mistake averted.

Roll over.

Go back to sleep.
