These artwork conflicts at times with our ideas of how art should look like; of how it meets the observer' s expectations. Clearly this art does not respond to the sciences of the Art Academies, does not imitate the real world, nor does it use conventional perspectives.

Mirit Ben-Nun transmits her inner world and its sounds, giving rise to an infinite number of artistic compositions, springs of dreams, an assortment of realities and perhaps her 'Unreality.

Her art is connected to her life and the real world, it is a back and forth between herself and the spectator. Her thoughts are expressed in a unique style and approach.

Mirit Ben-Nun's art usually exists independently of reality, she even dares to move it away. Her aggressiveness in the use of primary colors along with bright tones, reveal Her autonomy in relation to shapes. The lines, the points and the forms do not try to imitate reality but rather give each work a unique importance showing the emotional charge of the artist. The artist has a spirit of rebellion, new ideas, trying to overcome without seeking perfection, just looking for expression. Through her work she explores personal identity trying to redefine the art itself. Its purpose is to describe and illustrate or to reproduce the world and the nature of human civilization, focusing primarily on the dominant exposure of the expressive function. His art is made by an artist that reflects the complex problems that shape our diverse, global and rapidly changing world, trying to redefine art.

I wanted to do a mix between this photo and this photo (which have become two of my favorites), so I put this one together with a couple of different HDRs. 2 different 9 exposure HDRs were used as a panorama, and the postwork was done in Photoshop and Photomatix, as usual.

The brand-new Museum of the Vietnamese Armed Forces is a stunning new building on a huge site about 5 km west of Hanoi city centre. I hired a taxi for the day for around US$50 to do this and the Airforce and B-52 Victory museums, as there is currently no public transport option to reach all three.

Currently (April 2025) only the ground floor is open. There will be three more floors of display galleries above and a top-floor restaurant. Right now, tourist facilities are limited to a small cafe at the gate and no shop! However, the ground floor galleries are simply superb. The left side is devoted to Vietnam's military history from the 10th Century up to the French invasion in 1850 and includes weapons from 950AD onwards.

The right hand side of the building covers the two Indochina wars - against the French in the 1950s and the Americans in the 1970s. It is just a great museum and covers the conflicts in detail with English translations or subtitles throughout.

Outside are the larger aircraft exhibits which are also really good, but there is plenty of room for more to be added. I spotted an ex-Vietnam Airlines Ilyushin IL-18 in store at the airport that could easily be moved here to join their IL-14. The panes are a mix of captured USA and Soviet-supplied fighters and transports - my favourite is the Antonov AN-26 which was apparently converted to a bomber role!

Darkness and light: an eternal balance. For some, it’s all or nothing; for most, it’s a relentless struggle.

"I said this shelf is mine!"

"Like I care."

In 1938 Czechoslovakia mobilized against the German threats of war, but hat to give in to the Munich Agreement and withdraw from the border fortifications, even if the army was fully capable to stand against the Wehrmacht. After this not only Germany, but also Poland and Hungary ripped pieces of land from the country, and there were also extensive fights with insurgents, which cost lives of many Czechoslovak soldiers and gendarmes. Today it´s a tradition to reenact how the situation could be, when we would have defended ourselfs. It´s a fact that Hitler was affraid of the Czechoslovak military, which at that time had better tanks, more heavy guns, and a very effective fortification system. Of course we win in the reenactments :-)

"After the destruction of Po-Metru and the Disappearance of Lhikan, Nuju was torn appart. He was horrified by Dume's actions, but was unwilling to wage war with the resistance angainst his old comrades.

He finally decided to retreat in Ko-Metru, claiming his desire to protect the towers of knowledge that Dume was turning into propaganda centers. Thus hiding from the main conflict, he patrols the icy towers and fight off intruders.

As of now, he has slowly become a cold lone wolf. As he strides between the crystal towers he fights against Vahki legions. He is one of the remaining neutral figures of Metru Nui, and he joining one side, or loosing to the other, has yet to become a main turn of this story."

This MOC was made for the #Bionicle20ans collaborative project.

As Bionicle turns 20 this year, the Bionifigs community will celebrate these two decades of biological chronicles through all of 2021.

Each month will be dedicated to a year in the history of Bionicle - in April we focus on 2004.

My name is Bruce Wayne. When I was a child my parents were shot and killed right before my eyes. That one event changed me forever, sending me down a path I never would've thought I'd go down. It made me a guardian. A vigilante. A dark knight. It made me the Batman.

-----------------------------------

Today is the day. The peace treaty between Kasnia and Wakanda is getting signed, ending the centuries old conflict between them. Almost everyone from those countries, plus all the major news stations are gathered in this hall, where the treaty will become official. Although, as with everything else, there will always be someone against it. And if my intelligence is correct, then a third party should be showing up. Someone who doesn't want this deal to go through. Someone who has hurt many people, from mob bosses to policemen to young innocent boys and their families...

Diana: (Bumps Bruce's briefcase.) "Sorry."

Bruce: "No problem."

Diana: "You look familiar. You're from Gotham, right? Bruce Wayne?"

Bruce: "In the flesh. You are?"

Diana: "Diana." (They shake hands.) "Diana Prince. Nice to meet you."

Bruce: "Likewise."

There's something about this "Diana" that I can't quite place. She seems like a trustworthy person, but she kept glancing to the stage. Her grip was suspiciously strong, and it seemed like she was hiding silver gauntlets under her sleeves. The leaders of Kasnia and Wakanda walk up on stage, and Diana disappears. I scan the hall where the event is taking place, looking everywhere from the crowd to the doors to the stage lights to the...glint. I saw a glint in the air-ducts. The same exact glint I saw on the worst night of my life, in the left sleeve of the monster who-

Diana: "DOWN!"

Bruce: "Everyone get down! Now!"

Everyone starts to duck when suddenly BANG! A gunshot rings in our ears as the leader of Kasnia falls to the ground. During the commotion, I notice Diana checking his pulse, then trying to stop the bleeding. He's alive. I open my briefcase, and throw a Batarang at the duct, though I feel he's gone to another one. No time to deduce which, I change into my costume and start running up to the stage when BANG! Another shot. But this time I see no-one slump to the floor. Only Diana standing there, with her gauntlet directly in front of the Wakandan's head.

-----------------------------------Thanks for reading my first issue of my new series! I hope you've enjoyed it, and part two will hopefully be posted soon.

Note: This issue and the next are the origin of Batman joining S.H.I.E.L.D., and the rest are going to take place in the preset time. Anyways, keep an eye out for the next one, and have a good day!
