After an epic battle with her nemesis, "Rachael" finds herself in a bit of a pickle. Hanging on for dear life she thinks this would be a good time to test the grip-a-tronic, the new mechanical hand created by the SaRach corporation. Confident in its quality of build she waits patiently for help to arrive.....

I occasionally look after Filou and Sethi today while my sister is at work. They seem to get along but Sethi isn't super interested in Filou yet. Filou is a lot more confident than a few days ago, I could play with him and even managed a few photos. Sorry for the low quality, it's a gloomy day and much too dark indoors for good photos.

It was clear and cold in the Shenandoah Valley this morning and I've long wanted to photograph a Northbound on the NS's H Line near Arcadia but that didn't happen today but I was Leopard and felt confident that he would pull something out of his hat. Yup, he did, here T219-29 is rolling along the James River at Natural Bridge and the NS is crossing over the both of them. Spring has come to the Shenandoah Valley.
The goat whisperer was surprised to hear the clink of a small piece of slate tripping on another. The sound came from below him, over the edge towards the dark pit of California. And then the sound again. Goat? He moved silently, lightly on his feet, to the buttress overlooking the precipice, and peered over the slate wall along its top. His eyes quickly locked on to a white goat immediately below him, about twenty feet below. She knew he was there but she strode onwards, confidently and carefully over the loose slate hanging along the lip of the quarry. The sight of her surprised him. She was unlike any other goat he had seen in Dinorwic before: all white, lean, ….looking like she was on a long journey. Her haunches hollowed: she hadn’t had much food. And she was alone, a solitary creature. He noticed too she had shed most of her coat in the summer warmth. But instantly she struck him as special: different.
It was a couple of months later when he saw her again, having found her place in a herd. She looked in the peak of fitness now, her coat freshly regrown. Really pretty….for a goat. The males had fought over her when she first arrived but it was clear now that one had claimed her as his own. Hmmm, with that sort of attitude it was only a matter of time before she gave him the horn....…up the back side!
This Lion and another three ones... stand guarding the most famous bridge in Egypt for it's beauty....( Kasr Al Neel - Nile's Palace ) bridge, Est. 1933...
The bronze lions were Created by French sculptor ( Alfred Jacquemart ), and were meant to be guarding ( Mohammed Ali Pasha 's ) statue in Alxandria...
But the designer of the bridge engineer ( Louis Maurice Adolphe Linant de Bellefonds ) brought them to Cairo to stand guard his fantastic bridge....

Klenteng Welahan ~Temple of Welahan
It's named Klenteng 'Hian Thian Siang Tee' or HTST. Placed in village/sub-district Welahan, Jepara Regency. About 1 km from my home.
It was one of the oldest Chinese temple in Indonesia.
there are many legend about it. It said that it has connection with Sam Poo Kong, have some ancient heirlooms form Chinese dinasty or even ever mentioned by RA Kartini (our national hero for women emansipation) in her famous letter to Mrs. Abendanon.
I don't really know about whether is it all true or not. I'm not yet dare enough to interview the temple's guard and yeah I ever try to read Kartini's Letters: "Habis gelap terbitlah terang", but found it very difficult to understood for its different era of language style. Would try to read it again if I have time and enough patience~ :p
Well, I think, I was ever talk about shoots Klenteng (Temple) with Kang Zudi.
By that time I was lack of confident to do it, since I affraid to disturb their religious activity or perhaps they would not like me to be around in their worship place.
But one day when I pass this place, it was quite empty. I saw no human or guard.
So I quickly shoot it, and go. Hehe. Still not dare enough to talk with its guard. They (or maybe me myself) seems fierce! hehe o:-)
And then couple weeks ago Mbak Uchi was upload Cheng Ho Mosque which its architecture is seems like a Klenteng. It temp me to upload this! ^^;;

On the trip to Staple Island, and on the Inner Farne trip, the boatmen often travel into some of the cuts and channels which exist between the cliffs. These are sometimes full of birds on the water and there are always huge numbers of birds flying in and out of the colonies.
These guillemot were part of a much larger group which seemed confident in staying put until the boat got relatively close. It was a glorious early summer day and the water was gin clear.

My sister-in-law confidently assures me that this is a Vapourer moth. Love its feathery antennae.
I would have failed a health and safety assessment taking this photo as I was standing on a 4 legged stool outside on an uneven surface wobbling! Cropped shot. It was on our living room window about 7 feet above ground level and there was a pyracantha plant stopping me getting close.
I experimented with the curtains open and closed trying to get the best shot without me showing as a reflection.
