This piece was inspired by my feelings of confidence. Things have been looking up lately. The fruitions of my labor have been coming to light and all I can feel is positive. Small voices speak of fear, but right now my vibe is strong. I bask in its warmth and confidently step forward.

This piece is part of my art therapy series. To better express my symptoms and emotions, I create based on what I am feeling. This started off as a tool for release and explanation but has now become a regular form of expression. Confident Camper was one of two Peanuts on Parade statues to be donated to the John Mariucci Lodge at Camp Confidence near Gull Lake in Baxter--the other being Portage to Pig's Eye. It appears that a classic rendition of Lucy has joined the group, but I havent been able to determine if this was an original. Im fairly confident that they have all been repainted and probably weather treated.

Guangzhou is not afraid of putting its best foot forward. It doesn't seem to pay slavish homage to the USA that other aspiring cities do. It was great to see kids playing joyously on the streets...rare in Melbourne nowadays.
