I bought this several months back but moving house meant it stayed boxed up until just last weekend. Reading through it, especially after having been out of my "shoot every day" routine for the past few months Christopher's words and images really struck a chord, reminding me of my own compulsion to go out day after day to carefully gather fragments of the world - fragments of what is here today, what was yesterday, and what might be tomorrow.
In Home is where the car is Christopher presents a well considered collection of beautiful and profound photographs to elevate a simple phenomena into something remarkable.

Prayerful waiting on God is indispensable to effective service. Like the time-out in a football game, it enables us to catch our breath and fix new strategy. As we wait for directions, the Lord frees us from the tyranny of the urgent. He shows us the truth about Himself, ourselves, and our tasks. He impresses on our minds the assignments He want us to undertake. The need itself is not the call; the call must come from the God who knows our limitation. "The Lord pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust" (Psalm 103:13-14). It is not God who loads us until we bend or crack with an ulcer, nervous breakdown, heart attack, or stroke. These come from our inner compulsions coupled with the pressure of circumstances. - Charles Hummel
I hope I am not the only one who is happy that summer is coming to an end. This summer was exceptionally HOT where I live. I am not a fan of the heat. I also think I can speak for just about anyone when I say, we are close to another season and year ending. I am super excited for autumn and all that is autumn in Second Life. It is not only my favorite season in RL but here also. Sweaters and jeans, boots and leggings and all the autumn colors that come with it.
This land was a piece i have been working on for the last week or so. I decorate when I need to just let go of RL and the things that are bothering me.
I went to the L2 Studio sim for a bit of inspiration when I wanted to compliment Miss Lindini Lane on her choices of Decor. Simply adore her shabby chic style. I happened to come upon this build; The Writers Shed. I have been to this sim many times and I had never seen it. So happy I had because it was so lovely to decorate. Not only that, Miss Lane was so gracious, she offered it to me as a gift ♥ So thank you again for your generous gift!
You might be able to tell, the inside is packed full of amazing decor. While this home is small, it is fabulous to decorate for any person who loves decor as much as me.
There are a few items I would like to spotlight. TBF- The Black Forest is in this round of Cosmopolitan with an amazing set. I especially like the Kerosene Lamp, it comes with different options as well as being able to carry it with a bento pose. Check out this item and the others he has just inside the entrance this round starting Monday September the 7th.
There also may be a few items listed that you can't see. This is because a lot of them might be in the garden shed or just inside the home. I will try to sift them out before I post, just know I did the best I can ♥
A full inventory of items is listed below, enjoy! ♥

A Met Police liaison officer in discussion with a protester with a line of The Met's finest in the bokeh, outside Parliament in London. Approaching 200 years after their creation, the nine principles espoused by The Met's first commissioner, Sir Robert Peel, remain in practice. The fourth principle appears particularly appropriate here:
"To recognise always that the extent to which the co-operation of the public can be secured diminishes proportionately the necessity of the use of physical force and compulsion for achieving police objectives."
When I started paying serious attention to photography a few years ago, I began to notice how powerful repetition could be. Even a mundane object - or for that matter an unattractive one - when repeated could contribute to a compelling composition. This arc of Wheels sit-down e-scooters at Peachtree and Fifteenth caught my eye as I was biking by this afternoon and called out to me to be used as an example.
i'm going to add this shot to my "psychiatric series", although the compulsion to eat human flesh is not formally listed as a mental disorder in the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders.
it would also be a great cocktail for a halloween party

"I can't wait...
I can't wait...
I can't wait!
This flame is coalescing
This fire's burning bright
I know I'll get burned but it's
alright!
It's too late to change direction
I'm fixed on her in my mind
Trade sense for sensation this time!
I can't wait...
I can't wait!
I can't wait!
I can't wait...
I can't wait!
Wait, wait!
I can't wait!
I can't wait!
Her skin is laced with poison
Her words are laced with lies
Affliction is waiting in her eyes!
I can't control this compulsion
Like a moth into the flame
Her fiery embrace completes my
shame!
I can't wait...
I can't wait!
I can't wait!
I can't wait...
I can't wait!
I can't wait!
I can't wait!
I can't wait!
I can't wait!
Waiting anxiously!
Take control of me!
Take them willingly!
Don't let go of me!
Don't let go of me!
We bathe in this denial
Lay bare the secret place
For just a little while
Submit to this embrace!
Submit to this embrace!
Submit to this embrace!
Submit to this embrace!
Submit to this embrace!
Submit to this embrace!"
Hey all! Thanks for the tremendous support to everyone who's been sending the love! Today I'm sharing with you a little lounge set which I put together for the JHI Headquarters, and I thought some of you will love it and want credits for it. So here we go! The concept behind this is Romanian, using a lot of classic statement pieces which broaden the space, along with antiques and revamping it to a more modern period look. Soft wool quilt, over a black leather cushioned lounge, and a velvet side chair. A lot of texture and compositions for the Interior.
Also, if you're interested in the horse, and where I got it from, it's an avatar attachment in which I customized using the water-horse as the base, and then with appliers, and mods I changed it from their default options.

I can’t find a title for this shot, I don’t know if seeing it as a positive value.... something consolidated, a close bond...steady... instead of something negative...as a compulsion...a “cut off” desire....to wire ...could it be a free interpretation ...
Das plant die Regierung nach Weihnachten. Beschränkunge auch für Geimpfte./ This is what the government plans to do after Christmas. Restrictions also for vaccinated people.
I see photography as a way of exploring the visual richness I see around me. Our world is a wonderfully beautiful place and making records of it, choosing parts to isolate and represent makes me happy. If I’m honest, I’m not sure why I’m like this, but I have a compulsion to seek out and record what I find interesting visually. I don’t suppose this compulsion will ever change, even if over time the tools I use to create these images does. Anyway, what does that matter, I mean, who cares how the image ‘works’ as long as it does?
I have a compulsion to take photos every day. I don't do a 365 because as soon as I *have to* do something, then suddenly I don't want to anymore. I'm not a cold weather fan, so I play with light and various objects - whatever strikes my fancy. I was that kid who always wanted the new jumbo box of crayons :)
ABOUT THIS PHOTO. I didn't expect to capture the "best" light as this month is still considered the typhoon season in the Philippines. But bad weather does not discourage me of shooting anymore. Maybe, it's just because of my PHOTOGRAPHY COMPULSION SYNDROME! LOL. This is a scene from the Taal Volcano at the break of dawn, minutes before the rain poured as the small portal of light was still shining over the horizon. I shot this moments before the downpour that had me drenched and wet.

A gentle note on posting comments to visitors: While my regular Flickr contacts and friends don't do this, I request occasional visitors to please refrain from posting "View my Most Interesting Photos" or posting your own photos on my own. I just find it being rude and inconsiderate. Thank you for your understanding.

This will be gone tommorow. That is if I take a new picture. I dont like this photo. But this is kind of my way of making me take a picture. So I wont have to bear this being up.
Im getting sick. I can feel it. Goodnight.
Oh. And thank you everyone for you comments and messages. If I dont reply quickly I promise I will. I really do appreciate them :)
Edit: These window shots were all taken on the same day. I dont have some wierd compulsion to take every picture by it. Just an FYI haha
Her blood was twisted with natural and arcane magic to bring her into being, half her soul bartered to an Unseelie queen before birth through devious compulsion. Now, with dual natures warring within, never knowing which will prevail, and on the inside and on the outside ...shifting ...shifting ...changing.
Always makes me sad seeing the beauty of the landscape, nature and wildlife along side the impact we're having on it. Abandoned and discarded things from our compulsion for over consumption scarring the landscape.
I never used to understand what people liked about houseplants, but felt a compulsion to buy about a half dozen, these last couple of weeks.
How glorious to see a new, wet leaf drizzle upward, a spiraling reprieve from the frustrating crux of old leaf shadow!
