Momentarily, I am often briefly inspired by either getting on the tram or leaving. There is something within the motion and how the scene unfolds that has my attention and I even shoot sometimes from the hip as a way of just "clicking" because of this compulsion. And then sometimes I am completely smitten by the light radiating that creates deep shadows and interesting silhouettes, highlighting my day of going to and fro. But, it is in the confines of my daily travels that I am often regularly rewarded with something interesting to reflect upon.

I don't use treats to photograph animals as I don't have that strange human compulsion that wants to reduce animals to the level of one-dimensional food monsters. Blanca just happened to be licking her lips as she was wondering why I laid the GoPro on the ground in front of her! My idea had been to catch her looking up into the trees, but I like this much better!
On the drive down off this mountain, I got a flat tire! But it all worked out and made for a memorable day. Thank you to the friendly couple from Missouri who helped me change the tire!

Happy Monday!!! I hope all is well my friend. A new week is here! I am featuring Aphrodite Shop today with the Versalles Baroque Dining Set in this room regal enough for a Queen or King of course. I added some placemats from Chez Moi, Drapes from DRD, and one of my favorite rugs called Sisal from Mudhoney. I really wanted a fine dining type of experience in this space. The foodie in me had to have food. The placemats are pretty awesome and have a good amount of choices for everyone. I rezzed my sister a greek salad since she is vegan. Of course I didn't rez myself a salad. LOL!!! My lil pouf is from Cinphul. I would love to have it copy, but it's a gacha item. It's so cute. I hope everyone will have an amazing week ahead. *I've been very busy with family because of my sister's wedding, these commitments tend to be stressful and yet illuminating.. I've not come near flickr for at least 4 days?!
Since I hv no compulsion to load any wedding photos, my nearest saviour is my garden, meet White Lily, she's the latest addition to my humble garden...She's got a couple of sisters, so I may hv to do a slow introduction the next few days :)

As some of my FGR contacts have done today, I thought I would try The Seven Deadly Sins this week for no good reason. I'm mostly a pretty modest girl, so I did Lust first because it would be the most difficult for me.

Lust (or lechery) is usually thought of as excessive thoughts or desires of a sexual nature. Giving in to lusts can lead to sexual or sociological compulsions and/or transgressions including (but obviously not limited to) sexual addiction, fornication, adultery, bestiality, rape, perversion, and incest. Dante's criterion was "excessive love of others," which therefore rendered love and devotion to God as secondary. In "Purgatorio", the penitent walks within flames to purge himself of lustful/sexual thoughts and feelings.
It's very bad, so don't do it.
G'day everyone, once again I'm uploading more! I hope you guys aren't tired of it yet! - I've been highly requested to do simple, homely spaces which feel welcoming without being over the top so lately I have been doing small spaces which only involve 1-20 pieces per scene. I'm not a very big fan of white walls & white furniture, however I think if you're able to give colour, which in my case, I've gone for navy, because I want to balance the room, too white & it'll give it an illusion of being a lot larger but if you decrease by introducing dell tones, i.e grey, black & earthy grains it'll make the space feel more cozy. In the images above, I'm using two skybox's, both from Diamandis, I promised Summerdays (the creator/owner of Diamandis) that Id create something using their builds & here we are!

Compulsions start as a way of trying to reduce or prevent anxiety caused by the obsessive thought, although in reality, this behaviour is either excessive or not realistically connected.
Common types of compulsive behaviour in people with OCD include:
cleaning and hand washing
checking – such as checking doors are locked or that the gas is off
counting
ordering and arranging
hoarding
asking for reassurance
repeating words in their head
thinking "neutralising" thoughts to counter the obsessive thoughts
avoiding places and situations that could trigger obsessive thoughts
Not all compulsive behaviours will be obvious to other people.
It's important to get help if you think you have OCD and it's having a significant impact on your life.
There are ways to get help:
Refer yourself directly to an NHS talking therapies service – find an NHS talking therapies service in your area
see a GP – they can either prescribe suitable medicine or refer you to a local talking therapies service if necessary
Contact a GP or care team immediately if you ever feel you cannot go on. You can also:
call 116 123 to talk to the Samaritans, or email: jo@samaritans.org for a reply within 24 hours
contact NHS 111
For several months, we chose to remain silent, believing that NeonSheep (after being approached) had understood the seriousness of their actions and would refrain from using or distributing copybotted designs taken from the creators and builders who helped shape the City of Selnar.
Unfortunately, seeing elements from our sim appear at a recent event forced us to speak up more publicly than we wanted... but we WILL support our builders. 110%.
How do we know these were not merely “inspired by” our work? The owner of NeonSheep had been developing an RP sim, and upon visiting, we were stunned to recognize near exact replicas of our structures built by Architrave. Homes, walls, floors, planters, shops, and even unique pieces from Compulsion. The decisive proof came when one of our original creators identified a specific imperfection in the bath build left during early development, along with misaligned tiles that existed only in our unfinished version. These details confirm the assets were directly copybotted before we corrected them.
We are deeply disappointed by this continued disregard for the efforts of small creators whose talent and hard work make our world what it is. Our goal is not to start conflict, but to stand for integrity in the creative community and speak for these smaller creators who alone were clearly not enough for NeonSheep to cease and desist.
We encourage everyone to look at the evidence and decide for themselves.
The compulsion for Immediate (or at least quarterly) profit at all costs. The more wealth acquired, the more the imperative to acquire even more. Greed is an infection, a virus that instills itself on its host until the host treats all interactions with others, with the environment, with the entire world as a part of the gathering and hoarding of money.
The most egregious excuse given by those obsessed by greed is "It's only business."
It is entirely acceptable to spit at the feet of those who utter those words. Indeed, it is one's duty.
One might take this for capitalism.

Nonetheless, there are times when both ancient inclinations and current concerns tend to be surprisingly in-synch.
Here, the “watchdog“ at Henneke Fish Hatchery in Hallettsville, Texas, covers all the bases of what he instinctively knows to do.
Guarding and standing at watch for any potential intruders … and, diligently protecting the family. It’s his inherent nature and current compulsion to do so.

I decided the weather was perfect for some long exposures this evening and this is the result. Took this one down on my local beach which is great for this type of shot. Starting to get the timing better and have found a really cool way of getting the perfect exposure. It is called 'guessing'. An unorthodox style I know, but it seems to be working. Saves time on all those calculations.

Some of my worst photos are architectural. But I can say my absolute worst photos are the ones where I am shooting up at the subject. Usually rocks or cliffs. Or buildings. But I have a compulsion to take them. Hence, this photo. The odds for terrible were high; combining elevation with architecture. Nothing good can come from that. But on review of this one, I kind of like it. Which just goes to show that I am an idiot. And sometimes lucky.

Hello everyone!
It's been such a doom & gloom with the pandemic that's been happening and my health has been on absolute roller coaster. Thankfully in the small town which I currently reside at, it's only a population of 1,500 that being said, Australia does have pretty strict lock down laws. I've been a little nervous when I have to travel into the city to my appointments because the population is a lot larger and theirs already a handful of confirmed cases.
I just want to have some fun and do a little challenge which has been quite difficult in it's measure. My initial idea was to shoot another small video of this little project but with the particle smoke I get really really bad lag but I plan to shoot a video in the future of some custom work which I've had done. So Sci-Fi isn't really a theme I know too much about.. Though I've always been intrigued about ultra modernism and futuristic lifestyles. It's a bit tricky I must say to assemble together due to the lack of content that provides ultra modern so I had to do improvising a little. I think the shots turned out so well! I had to toss in some aliens just for a giggle because, why not? I'm a bit of an alien geek. Something a bit different from the usual I have to say but it's been on the bucket list for a long time. My custom project I spoke of before, I'll be shooting some scenes of it which will blend in, in correspondence of this one.

How the days go by. I almost let today slip away without sharing an image on here, but then I thought better of it. It only takes a moment after all, not much longer sometimes than it took to create the image in question. But at the same time I take a very... ... ... laissez faire attitude toward posting on social media. I try not to force the issue, if I don't have anything I feel worth sharing or writing about I am completely comfortable letting the days go. There is no compulsion to post. All my compulsion is concentrated on the end of the scale dealing with finding and creating the images. By the time they get to this point, I have everything I need from them already, if there was anything I needed from the image at all to begin with. But I do enjoy the sharing. I enjoy spreading the inspiration around, circulating images, adding to the general conversation. Sometimes I have a lot to say, sometimes a little and sometimes nothing at all. However it works out though, I'm pretty happy.
And so here is one of many bends in the path I have been on in my days. This particular one from the island of Maui.

I bought this several months back but moving house meant it stayed boxed up until just last weekend. Reading through it, especially after having been out of my "shoot every day" routine for the past few months Christopher's words and images really struck a chord, reminding me of my own compulsion to go out day after day to carefully gather fragments of the world - fragments of what is here today, what was yesterday, and what might be tomorrow.
